To finish this long and tough year Cobbler will be doing its first Macallan Whisky Dinner ever! This dinner is going to be a special one with great whiskies on the night. As everyone that knows Macallan, it is considered the Rolls Royce of whiskies. This night is going to be hosted by the Queensland Macallan Brand Ambassador and whiskies will be matched with food prepared on site by the one and only Evan White, who has been doing our Whisky Dinners for the last 3 years. The Macallan 18 sherry cask is only going to be available in limited stock through bars only. No bottles are going to be available to purchase in bottleshops. And the Macallan Edition number 5 is becoming a rare collector’s item as we speak!. Seats are limited and this event will sell fast, so we recommend getting in quick! Expertly crafted by Master Blender Dr. Rachel Barrie, in unique collaboration with Kingsman film franchise director Matthew Vaughn, to mark the upcoming release of The King’s Man.... Distilled in 1989 and bottled in 2018 this is a masterful blend between the best 6 sherry casks at Glendronach Warehouse, specifically picked by Rachel and Matthew. Matured in Oloroso sherry casks with a final maturation in Pedro Ximénez casks from Spain, this twenty-nine-year-old Single Malt is a masterful expression of exceptional complexity and depth. Only 3,052 bottles available worldwide from 1stSeptember 2020. TASTING NOTES Dense autumn fruits melt with date, fig and treacle, rolling into black winter truffle, raisin and cocoa. 22.01.2022 Cobbler’s New Years Eve Masquerade Party 2020! Join us to celebrate the end of this long year at Cobbler in our Masquerade Party! We will have masks available for everyone or you can bring your Own. It’s going to be a really fun night and a great way to say goodbye to 2020! Tickets are $150 and the package includes Cocktails, Beers and Wine for 4 hours from 8:30pm till 12:30am. There will be Champagne on arrival and Champagne at 12am to celebrate.... There is going to be three Cocktails to choose from, 3 types of beers, Red and White wine, and Prosecco. Tickets are limited, so we recommend getting yours quick! Cask HH0310 Sullivans Cove American Oak Single Cask represents the distillery's most awarded expression. It was the first ever Australian whisky to achieve ‘Liquid Gold’ status in Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible. Typically aged in 200L American oak ex-bourbon casks, this whisky represents the defining style of Sullivans Cove, with a strong malt backbone and flavours of vanilla, caramel, stone fruit, white flowers and powerful oak. 10.01.2022 Don’t know what your Friday knock off drink should be....Our Weekly Whisky Series should help! This weeks it’s the Edradour Ballechin 8 years . Edradour distillery (Scottish Gaelic: Eadar Dha Dhobhar, "between two rivers") is a Highlandsingle malt whisky distillery based in Pitlochry, Perthshire. Its owners claim it to be the smallest distillery in Scotland. A very unusual release which sees one Edradour ex-Sherry cask combined with three Ballechin ex-Bourbon casks (Ballec...hin is the heavily peated version of Edradour). The result is a beautiful balance of peated and unpeated, sweet and smokey malts - hence the subtitle 'Double Malt / Double Cask Cuvee.' Non chill filtered. 46% Alc./Vol. Nose: Chilli chocolate, dried fruit and a light whiff of earthy smoke. Palate: Charred barley (slightly meaty at points) followed by honeycomb and red wine. Finish: Lingering Christmas spices.We are open from 4pm today so come on in and give it a try!

09.01.2022 Announcing the arrival of The Dalmore Port Wood Reserve Single Malt Scotch Thank you @thewhiskyclub.com.au An indulgent smooth single malt matured in American white oak ex-bourbon casks and aged Tawny Port pipes. Combining the delicious aromas of sweet red berries, oranges, plummy fruits and toffee pudding. On the palate you will taste nectarines, creamy caramel roasted chestnuts and coffee. And to finish rich plums, sultanas, blood oranges and macerated cherries. The Dalmore Port Wood Reserve scored Gold in the 2019 and 2020 International Wine & Spirit Competition and is not one to be missed!!

09.01.2022 We are ending the week with our Weekly Whisky! Caol Ila Moch Edition. Caol Ila is one of the lighter Islay whiskies, pale in colour, with peaty, floral and peppery notes. In addition to being sold as asingle malt, it is used heavily (around 95% of their production) in blends such asJohnnie Walker. Since 1999, the distillery has also produced a non-peated "highland spirit". The latest addition to the Caol Ila family and the first single malt from the distillery to be sele...cted entirely on the basis of its taste, rather than age, wood, alcohol volume or finish. ‘Moch’ means "Dawn" in Gaelic (Caol Ila's location on Islay’s east coast is the first on the island to see the rising sun). Reportedly, this is softer and lighter in style than the standard 12 year old. Tasting Notes NOSE Salty and briny with vanilla ice cream, lemon sherbet, pineapple, white pepper and a hint of smoke. PALATE A creamy texture with buttery and toffeed notes added to the salinity and vanilla that were present on the nose. FINISH The toffee and vanilla continue right through to the end, with a medium to long length, which is excellent for an ‘entry level’ whisky.
