25.01.2022 From the myzone team! We have updated our privacy policy and are aware this has caused an error that does not allow some users to select the "understood" option to confirm your selection. We are currently taking a look into this issue and should have a fix for this soon. A short term fix for this, would be to select your option and then force close the app and open it again. This should load up and allow you to resume using your app.... 22.01.2022 Dear members, a quick update on the COVID situation as per the recent announcements over the weekend. Restrictions have been placed in the following areas of Qld - Brisbane - Ipswich - Logan... - Scenic rim - Lockyer Valley - Moreton Bay - Redlands We have a very clear COVID plan in place. Therefore we are currently business as usual. Being a smaller club, we can all take simple, but effective measures to keep our community safe whilst maintaining our health and fitness which is important when also trying to maintain strong immunity. From 8:00am, 22 August, any business or organisation, including community sporting activities and events, operating in accordance with their relevant Industry COVID Safe Plan, are safe to proceed, ensuring the plan is enacted. If you are experiencing any COVID or flu-like symptoms at all, it is important you get tested immediately and do not attend either of our gyms until you have a negative COVID test result. You must book online to attend the classes. Upon arriving, please use the sanitizer provided or wash your hands with soap and water. Wipe all equipment down BEFORE AND AFTER use. Be aware of social distancing by maintaining 1.5m from each other. Thank you in advance for adhering to the guidelines. We will act on any directives from the QLD Government immediately

21.01.2022 Well done to Leanne Hedges. Our largest 1 day total so far. 186 MEP points. 464 calories. And its not even midday.... Notice how she was in a steady 60-70% zone for most of it. You dont need to always be in the higher zones to have a dramatic effect on your health.

16.01.2022 MYZONE AND RESTING HEART RATE Q: What is resting heart rate and will my resting heart rate change over time? Resting heart rate is the number of times your heart beats per minute at rest. It is best to measure this first thing in the morning. As you become fitter, your resting heart rate will reduce as your heart becomes more efficient. Resting heart rate is not used in the calculation of MEPs for any information on your tile. It is only for informational purposes. Q: How doe...s Myzone establish my resting heart rate? Myzone sets your resting heart rate to 100bpm (beats per minute) as standard. When you first register your belt it is recommended that you perform a resting heart rate test. This involves sitting or lying comfortably while wearing your belt for 10 minutes, ideally in the morning. When you next upload your data at the Myzone Console your resting heart rate will recalculate to your actual resting value. You can also ask your coach/trainer/teacher to adjust your resting heart rate if it does not appear to be accurate or if you have completed a resting heart rate test. See more

13.01.2022 NEW! I've had many requests for a back to basics plan. So here it is. The COBRA Fit Technique Assessment and Performance Plan. Begin the training year with an understanding of your own current fitness levels, see where you body's weaknesses lie, improve your movement patterns and reinvigorate your training.... We all have nagging injuries that wont go away and we've all developed little cheats to allow us to train despite them. This will be caused by things like sitting at desks, standing all day, lifting incorrectly etc. Because of this there will be disfunctions that may be hindering your training and not allow you to perform your movements correctly. How many times has that squat felt uncomfortable? Or you didn't have the strength to complete a press up without your tummy sagging? Or that niggling shoulder injury gets in the way? or that back feels really tight? Our goal is to assess your current technique and give you specific exercises and recommendations based on that assessment to help you improve your mobility, strength, awareness and coordination. This will lead to a greater understanding of how to get the most out of your COBRA Fit sessions. You'll understand how to target the correct muscles effectively with each exercise and also how to release and stretch the overworked muscles. The sessions are available in groups of 4 or 8.
