25.01.2022 Today we ventured across to The Big Strawberry for brunch. Food was excellent and the amount of goodies available to purchase is amazing. We ended up with a variety of products that were too good to resist! Another must visit to anyone coming to the region!

24.01.2022 Autumn is well and truly here. Work is happening in the orchards for next seasons stone fruit, with pruning, etc under way. Beautiful colours all over Cobram at the moment.

24.01.2022 Great coffee, great food and friendly staff! Just across the bridge in Barooga. We can highly recommend a visit to Fees.

22.01.2022 Look what's coming to Tocumwal! Save the date. Victorian Labour Day long weekend the Foreshore markets will be on in the morning and then that evening the main street will be closed for a wonderful food festival.

22.01.2022 We are back on the road checking out the local area and this morning we took some people to Katamatite Garlic, where Grahame gave us a tour and talk about garlic and other veggies as well as composting with the help of chooks. Thanks Grahame for an interesting time. you have inspired me. From there we decided to have lunch at The Shack Cafe at Thompsons Beach on the bank of the Murray River. What a great menu, not to mention the view! Will have to keep coming back to work our way through it. Today we started with a Mac n cheese and southern fried chicken burger!

22.01.2022 Another great place to visit is Thompsons Beach. Bring a picnic, have a BBQ or eat/drink at the Cafe (yes it is licensed) overlooking the Beach. You can also go for a cruise on the paddle steamer Cobba for a good look at the river in this beautiful area. There are also some great walking and cycling tracks in the area.

22.01.2022 Out and about for lunch for the first time in a while. Travelled about 40 minutes south to Tallis Winery at Dookie, where an old cinema colleague now works. The wines are exceptional and the regional platter was delicious! Well worth a visit if you come to this region! It is close to the silo trail as well.

21.01.2022 Nice day to check out the Yarrawonga Farmers Market and buy some fresh produce! Honey, veggies, eggs and some nice bread!

21.01.2022 Today we went along to the Cobram Showgrounds to visit the Cobram Swap Meet and what a great day they put on. People from all over attended with a huge range of stalls covering the whole family. I even bought myself a new pair of Hawk boots made by BEST BOOTS EVER, an Albury based Aussie company that makes a mean boot. Look them up on the internet. If you missed out on coming along, mark it on your calendar for next year and make a weekend of it.

21.01.2022 Hi everyone, thanks to a DoDo and iPrimus Mess up, our land line phone number has been disconnected and they tell me it can take up to a week to reconnect and they also cannot guarantee that we will get the same phone number. I will keep you posted but in the mean time, please email [email protected] with your contact info and we will call you back from our mobiles. Thanks for your patience. Wayne

20.01.2022 Great tasting experience! We will definitely be back to try the lunch platter with a group of people. Cellar Door is amazing! Also recommended!

18.01.2022 Had brekky at the Bakery Cafe today! Was very nice, had eggs on sour dough toast and couldnt resist getting a couple of their vanilla slices to go! We have had them before and they are exceptional!

17.01.2022 Today we have decided to explore the area west of Cobram, starting at Cafe3641 for brunch. It is a lovely Cafe, converted from an old house with lovely gardens and great staff. Again, everyone is really friendly and helpful. What else could one ask for!

16.01.2022 If you are looking for a genuine Italian meal, check out Casa 68 in Cobram! The best spaghetti I have ever had! All fresh and made here. We tried the spaghetti Marinara and the spaghetti carbonara! They were delicious. The restaurant has a great, friendly atmosphere.

09.01.2022 We have 2 en-suite sites available in the Park. They are currently available for the Labor Day weekend in March. Call us for pricing, if you are interested!

09.01.2022 Yes, at Cobram East Caravan Park, we can cater for almost anyone! Last weekend, we had the privilege of supplying a site to a very big boat that a lovely couple from Western Australia were using as a caravan/boat, travelling up the Murray River as far as possible. Unfortunately, the boat ramp at Thompsons Beach was not long enough for a 30 boat, but I believe that a good time was still had by all concerned. Below is a pic of the boat on one of our powered sites.

08.01.2022 Hi everyone, it is exciting that some people are allowed to travel again, but please remember that wherever you travel to, you will need to have your own bathroom! The public toilets in caravan parks have to remain closed to guests at the moment. If all goes well, it won’t be too long before the restrictions are lifted and we will keep you posted! Thank you.

06.01.2022 Today we ventured south for about 10-15 minutes and visited the Katamite Garlic farm gate. What a great learning experience! The farm is all natural and is basically its own ecosystem. They grow an assortment of products and sell them in the Farmgate shop. We highly recommend a visit here if you are in the area.

05.01.2022 Byramine Homestead and Brewery. Another great place to visit in the region! You must try the Lemon and Lime cider.....super refreshing! They also have Ploughmans Platters available and you can try the various beer and cider at the same time. Also available in store is the famous Cobram Cream! YUM!!!

05.01.2022 Some great drives in the area include this end of the Silo Art Trail which includes towns like Goorambat, Devenish and St James. These are well worth the drive and we are told the pubs are a great place to stop for lunch. We havent tried them yet but intend to in the not too distant future.

05.01.2022 A must see for every visitor that comes to the area. Rich Glen have a huge range of local produce and you can now even construct your own lunch platter! Great coffee too! Well done guys!

04.01.2022 Hi again everyone, as of today we have a limited opening status. Our public amenities are closed to everyone except those that live at the caravan park. Please watch this space for further updates. Thanks, Sarah and Wayne
