07.01.2022 This family history month we’re highlighting collections from the recently digitised Australian Joint Copying Project (AJCP). British army regiments served in... the Australian colonies until 1870. If your ancestor came to Australia in one of these units, you can track their service during the regiment’s time stationed here through the British Army’s pay lists and muster books online through the AJCP. You’ll be able to follow payments, promotions (or demotions), locations etc during the regiment’s time in Australia. Browse or search the muster books and pay lists, starting here: https://nla.gov.au/nla.obj-728664549/findingaid British Army muster documents were digitised as part of the AJCP with thanks to the National Archives of the U.K.
