25.01.2022 Whats Going on There???? PALS would like to thank each and every one of you for the generous donations that come into our Op Shop on a regular basis. Our biggest challenge has always been people leaving items after hours, in particularly on a weekend. By the time the shop opens for business again on Monday morning many of the items can be damaged due to the weather, animals or people that stop off and check over what has been left, with many items being taken before we hav...e a chance to process them. Many of the items that we process after a weekend, that have been left out in the weather, or simply not fit for sale are sent to landfill at a considerable cost to the Op Shops bottom line. As a not for profit organisation we are constantly looking to reduce our overall costs and as such we have now been forced to erect a new boundary fence at our Broadway St Op Shop to stop any such after hours donations. Items that are left after hours is considered littering and will be subject to fines from the local government. We hope you understand the measures we have taken, and we do still need your donations, however we ask that you make contact with us during business hours. As a side note, we are currently having some phone issues at Broadway street and we hope these will be rectified early next week. If you have items that are fit for sale and you wish to donate, please drop in and speak with Tracey or Allan Monday to Friday or Saturday morning. Largely due to the Covid19 restrictions we are limited to the services we can currently offer with regards to our pickup of donations or drop off of your purchased items. You will also see we are limiting the number of customers who enter the shop at any one time and have supplied hand sanitiser on entry and we are directing traffic as best we can within the shop. We thank you again for your ongoing support and understanding through these difficult times that we are all experiencing. Stay safe and well. Your PALS. See more

19.01.2022 Its more than just cash or damage to our offices, PALS customers were upset to find their safe space had been broken into After such great celebrations for t...he International Day of People with Disabilities it was sad to see our Cobram campus had been broken into last night, with thieves stealing a small amount of petty cash, client gym vouchers and causing significant damage to our offices. The hardest thing today was to reassure our customers that everything will be Ok, when the place they consider their own, had been violated. Hats off to the fantastic staff that supported those that were upset today, you all did a great job. Id also like to thank Matt Simm for his quick response & Cobram Locksmiths who also assisted us so promptly. Thank you to the Barooga Sporties Health & Fitness crew who worked with us to ensure our customers routines were not further disrupted, given their vouchers had been stolen. See more
