S E E K I N G:... - Welcoming attitude - Ability to look out for others - Gives away smiles Does this sound like you? We seek a parkrunner that loves to volunteer and also loves to participate in the event. Position vacant for a person to do First Timers Welcoming. Role: Gathers first timers. Welcome parkrun tourists, explain track. Invite other sto join us for post parkrun coffee at Sweet Ness cafe. Straight forward but one of the most important roles as you will give the vibe that parkrun is for them and help others feel at home. If you can fill this role for our first week, let the team know below. All positions will be open for next week as soon as we fill this one. Drum roll!

21.01.2022 This weather is just superb for getting out and doing your 5km walk/jog/run. Where are you at with your activity? It's ok if you have not kept up with your fitness goals this year as we all know just getting through the year has been a goal in itself. But if you wish to refocus and you are after an excuse or a push to do this, use this post as your time to reflect and think, "How can I improve my physical activity right now?"... Jump back on the 5km band wagon. Set yourself a SMART goal (SMART: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time framed). And go for it! Connect with another parkrunner, become accountable to someone. Inbox me or another Run Director if you wish. We are still here for you. For those that have maintained their commitment and focus to their 5km journey, well done. Massive cheers to you! If you wish, share where you are at. The achievements, the goals, the refocus. 16.01.2022 As you know, 2020 gave us all time to reflect on our lives and taught us to live more in the moment. So glad that parkrun is returning soon so we can enjoy the moments along the river and enjoy our parkrun 'family' once again. parkrun functions on the generosity of people's time. Each Saturday there is a band of 'merry men' that have planned and organised the event for our community. So it is with mixed feelings that Gary and I as ED's wish to let you all know that Denise Ro...ss and Cheryl Finch have decided to step aside as Run Directors for 2021. We wish to acknowledge both of these RD's for their contribution to our community event. Cheryl has been an RD since March 2018 and Denise came on board November 2019. Both have been supportive behind the scenes and with actively volunteering their time. And I know they will continue to both be active in our parkrun community. When you see them both around, give them a non contact greeting of appreciation and let them both know how valuable they have been to enabling Cobram parkrun to continue to run during the past years. In saying that, as one door closes another opens and it is exciting to welcome Brant Doyle on board as a Run Director. Brant has just accepted the position and being our holiday season, will get his L plates on slowly over the next little while. 05.01.2022 Cobram parkrun has been successful in obtaining the permit from Moira Shire Council to hold our event for the coming year. Things are getting in order behind the scenes. Looking forward to seeing you on the 16th January 2021!

02.01.2022 What a fantastic morning! The weather was perfect and we had a terrific crowd of about 150 parkrunners. Results will be a few hours as we have to jiggle a couple if things. Three cheers to our volunteers, to our first timers and to our visitors from other events, we know you enjoyed your experience of Cobram parkrun. We'll pop back later to lay you know results are processed, for now, enjoy tagging your friends in the photos!

01.01.2022 Some Cobram parkrunners supported the Louis Hamon Park parkrun this morning with their trial. This event is very soon to launch in Numurkah. Keep your eyes open for their Facebook page pre launch.
