24.01.2022 Cobras strangle Frillnecks!! Yesterday afternoon the B’s took on Finniss on Callington turf after being 2/0 in the early stages of the game Spinks and Mcmurtrie consolidated to take the score to 3/50 at drinks a consistent loss of wickets after the break seen big boy willba come to the crease to crash a quick 22 and push the score to a competitive total the team being dismissed all out 106 Was our turn to bowl and we knew early wickets were key after dropping 4 hot chances in... the field early and 1 caught after a no ball things were not looking good until Jonah Smith struck and not long after struck again to start the collapse with tight bowling both ends from Smith and Schilling who also bowled very well bowling his 8 overs straight grabbing 3 key wickets. Wickets fell in regular intervals with Rushe picking up 2, big Willba taking 2/2 and Tristan Hunter taking the other after a great catch again by our named man of the match Will Hyndman B.C.C.C 10/106 J.mcmurtrie 24 W. Hyndman 22 Finniss 10/51 C.Schilling 3 S.Rushe 2 J.Smith 2 W. Hyndman 2 Next week we travel to Nairne to take on the Razorbacks in a 40 over match.
23.01.2022 C grade match report. In their 1st hit for the season the C's took on a young Loby Tigers team on a slow outfield at Cally hard in a T20 game In his 1st game as captain Sam Kropp won the toss and elected to bat but some tight bowling and good fielding in damp conditions saw the Cobras losing Malin and Wittkowsky in succession with David Spinks and Adam Roberts settling the innings and Stephen Lucas chipping in late we knocked up 80 from the 20 overs. Young Ryder Dolman took t...he new ball and obviously his hard work at practice is paying off having Lobethal in all sorts of trouble finishing with impressive figures of 3/13. Kiwa Schilling, Peter Lunt, Darcy Lucas also bowled well contained by the fielding pressure of Rhino Malin and Alex (Kent) Brockman and a screamer C & B from Adz Roberts got the Cobras the W in a battle of attrition in front of a huge crowd at the new Cobra Nest Stadium. 12.01.2022 B GRADE MATCH REPORT The B grade travelled to Macclesfield to take on the Redbacks on a cold almost wintry day. Winning the toss and batting first, captain Westy out early leaving the score 1/13. Chriso looked to continue his form from last week hitting 3 6's before trying 1 too many and being caught for 28, after a 50 run partnership between Jeff and himself. 2/63. Jai batted well for 20 runs and Jeff was dismissed in the last over for 39, seeing the Cobras finish at 5/124 ...off their 20 overs. Heading out to field in slightly improved conditions, early wickets would be the key. Tight bowling from Jonah and debutante Sam Rushe saw the score drop to 1/30 after 8 overs. From here all the bowlers got on top of the opposing batters, Chriso and big Will with a wicket each, 2 to Jonah and Sam and a couple to Jai left the hosts struggling at 8/67. The dangerous Schulze found a capable partner in Dawson and they took the score to 9/115, Jai with the wicket of Dawson, well caught in the deep by Rushe. 10 needed off 3 balls, 1 huge 6 and a couple of 2's saw Macclesfield home on the last ball of the innings, an heartbreaking 1 wicket loss for the guys. B.C.C.C 5/124 J Garrett 39 C Schilling 28 J McMurtrie 20 lost to Macclesfield 9/125 J McMurtrie 3/23 J Smith 2/16 S Rushe 2/34 First home game of the season next, against Wistow. Back to 40 overs, with a 1pm start on the Callington Turf.

08.01.2022 A Grade Match Report Round 4 vs Mt Barker The lads took on Mt barker away at Mt barker on a dark and gloomy day. After winning the toss and sending the home side to bat first the Mt barker openers got away from us early being 0/99 at drinks ... But a strong bowling attack after drinks led by Brad Louch (3/20 off 6) and Nick Williams (2/17 off 9) we kept them to 6/190 The lads picked up the bat and held firm and batted well with Arslan top scoring with 50 and Alfie 32 with a big 86 run partnership, a middle order collapse unfortunately saw the boys all out for 146. But positives came out of this game as we head into our bye week, we will train harder and come back stronger.

02.01.2022 C grade match report round 4 BCCC vs Echunga. Winning the toss and batting scoring was tough on the thick infield at Cally and tight bowling from Echunga had us 1 for 60 odd at drinks but still in a good position with wickets in hand. Finishing with 102 a defendable score. David Spinks top scoring with 23. Good bowling early from Kiwa and Ryder but some missed chances from the Cobras had the game tight with The Echunga Miners winning by 1 wicket in the 34th over. Dion Rehn taking 3/12 and winning player of the match.
01.01.2022 A grade match report Round 3 vs Nairne The boys took on the razorbacks at their home deck, but unfortunately the result didn’t go their way, there were positives to be taken especially from our bowling cartel led by Nick Williams (4/22 off 7). Amit bowled excellent as well as Nathan and the Brad combo. ... The batters didn’t have their best performance, with only 2 batter making double figures. New recruit Ajay Pundir had a solid innings to top the scoring for the Cobras with (20 off 33) and skipper Alex Durbidge (11 off 17). They will be looking to train hard this week to prepare for their upcoming match against Mount Barker. Bremer/Callington 76 Ajay Pundir 20 Alex Durbidge 11 Nairne 6/78 Nick Williams 4/22 (7) Amit maina 1/15 (7) Brad clements 1/12 (3)
