22.01.2022 In May this year, Nary and her family were eating breakfast when they heard a faint beeping noise. Within a matter of minutes, the entire top storey of their ho...use was alight, from a fire likely started by a faulty electrical blanket. Nary’s whole family were able to safely escape with just the clothes on their back, and credit their safe evacuation to having a working smoke alarm. Install interconnected smoke alarms in all bedrooms and living areas, and ensure you test batteries monthly. Only working smoke alarms save lives.

22.01.2022 We are on our way, see you all soon #cfa #cfavic #cfavictoria #lovewhereyoulive #merrychristmas

21.01.2022 Morning everyone, Just a heads up that I believe fire restrictions MAY be introduced mid December. I have no confirmation from CFA as yet but the information I am getting suggests this is likely. Time to get those last minute clean ups done. And please be careful burning. ... There was already a Burnoff out of control in Dewhurst this week that had 10 tankers at it. The grass is drying quickly. Thanks everyone Chris White Cockatoo CFA Captain See more

20.01.2022 STATE OF DISASTER Melbourne will head into a harsh Stage 4 lockdown from 6pm tonight, as Regional Victoria prepares for Stage 3 from Wednesday. For at least six weeks, Melburnians will be unable to travel more than 5kms from their homes, with just one person from each household allowed out to shop each day. ... One hour of exercise will be permitted daily, while police will enforce a strict curfew from 8pm to 5am -- between these hours, the only reasons to leave the house will be going to work, and giving or receiving care. Supermarkets and pharmacies will remain open and takeaway food services available, with more updates to come on which businesses will be forced to completely close down. All students across the State will return to online learning from Wednesday, with Tuesday to be a pupil free day. #staysafe #cfavic Please stay safe

14.01.2022 The 1st July was a historical day for the Fire Services of Victoria.
