23.01.2022 We extended our sensory play with the herbs from last week by freezing them in ice cubes and adding fresh flowers for the children to touch, smell and explore! We added magnifying glasses which the children loved looking through!!!!

06.01.2022 A Cockatoo family day care we have such wonderful family involvement. We were very lucky to have one of our fantastic families bring in some freshly picked herbs from their garden for the children to explore. The children used all their senses to smell touch and taste the different herbs. They loved the smell and taste of the mint but where not to sure about the fresh zesty basil. They learned when one crushes the leaves of herbs it brings out the smell even more. Such a wonderful activity that the children really enjoyed!!! Now with updated photos.
