18.01.2022 Hi There Just an update poster on our All Abilities programme at the Southern Lions. Most of you should know that myself, Justin Arthur and Wayne Arthur have b...een running a programme for men with disabilities for the last 2 years. It has been challenging but extremely successful to say the least with the men playing an exhibition match every other week at the SCRUM Carnivals. Well it has happened at last, i have decided to venture into All Abilities - Modified rugby for the Under 16s and under. I am looking for volunteer coaches and helpers, Greg Clark, Bruce Meyer and Michael Cairns have volunteered their services as coaches so far but i need more interested people. Two of my Senior All Abilities players Greg Decampo and Jason Browne have also offered to be mentors to the young people. I see this as an opportunity to include all clubs from WA in the experience, yes at first it will be based at the Southern Lions. But this could be a chance for other clubs to come on board to learn about the Modified Game from us. Please contact me if you think you would like to be involved. Cheers for Now See more

12.01.2022 What a great day of rugby union 10s at the City of Cockburn 10s competition at Southern Lions RFC. The 10s comp was the curtain raiser for a Western Force trial vs Eastwood Rugby and Super W match between WA and Queensland Rugby. The 10s comp didnt disappoint with plenty of close matches and great rugby :) Thank You to all the teams for coming in 2020. A big thanks to the Rugby WA Referees for officiating the days matches. Congratulations to Arks Rugby Union Football Club w...ho took out the Open Cup comp knocking off Southern Lions RFC in the grand final, Wanneroo Rugby Union Club who took out the Social/Colts Cup comp defeating Kalamunda Districts Rugby Union Club in the final and Southern Lions RFC who took out the Social/Colts Plate comp getting the better of Arks Rugby Union Football Club. Finally, a HUGE THANK YOU to the City of Cockburn who again were the MAJOR Sponsor for the event.
