21.01.2022 The Club is seeing a huge increase in interest in future Trips. Recent Trips we have run (Coolgardie to Mt Jackson Road Trip, Yilgarn Prospecting Trip, Outback Trek, WAs Best Bakeries) have been over-subscribed. Forthcoming trips (Dalwallinu Wildflowers, Wedge-Grey-Pinnacles, Margaret River Beaches and Tracks) are now full. There are still places available on the Harvey Hills Day Trip, Gus Luck Track 4 Day Trip, Lennard Track Day Trip, Sandy Cape Fishing Weekend and the Seab...ird to Lancelin Day Trip. Go to the Club's Events Page to see more details of these Trips. We want to make it fair to everyone. After a Trip is 80% full Club Members will be given priority over non-members. Please be advised that no priority is given to TLs mates regardless of rumours. Participation is strictly in accordance with applications received. Clearly, though, if a Trip interests you, you need to nominate early. I have noticed that some Members have planned ahead and booked Trips 12 months into the future. Not only does this secure your spot but it also allows the Trip Leader to plan with more surety. It is not to too soon to put your name down for the Australia Day Long Weekend adventure on the south coast around Walpole. Truly a spectacular part of our great State. This is always a popular Trip, so get in early. We are looking for Trip Leaders. If you want lead any of our Trips or have a trip that you are confident in, please contact [email protected].

If you want to attend, and need a metal detector, please confirm your place ASAP. First in first served. We have reserved SDC2300 units at a cost of $250 for the week. Once confirmed we will secure a deposit to secure the metal detector and your place on the trip. 14.01.2022 If you are travelling between Three Springs & Eneabba the Wotto Reserve is really starting to bloom. 15kms East of Eneabba you can pull up on the side of the r...ide or turn onto First North Road. Dont have to walk far to see heaps of flowers. If you want to go for a a bit of a tour about 10km along First North Road is Dingo Hill which is part of Wotto Reserve. Beautiful flowers, views, good dirt road & plenty of places to pull off the side of the road. If you are feeling adventurous you can climb Dingo Hill but it is a bit rocky & slippery. The bees were also somewhat friendly on Sunday which made for a quick climb down!!!!! See more

11.01.2022 CARAVAN ROLLOVER PROMPTS WARNING Police are reminding people towing caravans to be extra cautious on the roads, after a caravan was destroyed in a rollo...ver in regional WA. Kalbarri Officer in charge Sergeant Darren Connor says its fortunate no one was injured when the caravan hit the gravel on George Grey Road, near Lucky Bay, and flipped. With more people holidaying in WA due to COVID-19 travel restrictions, Sergeant Connor says its a timely reminder that people need to travel with caution. People may not be used to towing caravans regularly and perhaps lack that little bit of experience, he said. The other thing is also maintenance of trailers, things like wheel bearings, tyres satisfactorily inflated to the correct pressures, making sure everything is at a road worthy standard. 05.01.2022 Main Roads will be undertaking a significant amount of road works on the Albany Highway between September 2020 and April 2021 to improve road safety and freight... efficiency. Seal widening on Albany Highway between Bedfordale Road Train Assembly Area and Williams (121 km) are due to commence in early September 2020 and be completed by the end of December 2020. Construction of a northbound overtaking lane 20km north of Williams on the Albany Hwy is due to commence in September 2020 and be completed by the end of December 2020. Intersection improvements on the Albany Highway at Crossman Road and Crossman Dwarda Road are due to commence in January 2021 and be completed by April 2021. The south bound rest area in between the intersections will also be upgraded. For the safety of road users and road workers, there will be lane closures and speed restrictions. Road users are urged to slow down when approaching worksites, obey all signs and signals and show courtesy to other road users. Mainroads understand this will involve delays to travel and appreciate the patience of road users. See more

01.01.2022 We are in Kalbarri so giving anyone travelling here a heads up... restaurants are booked up, bookings have to be made in advance if you wasnt to dine out. Mai...n bakery is closed due to staff shortages and fish and fish and chip shop shut due to run out of stock. Kalbarri hotel pub had run out of 4 of the 6 tap beers when we arrived on weds and they got a delivery yesterday. Theyre requesting bigger orders but suppliers cant cope with the demand. I place has been chockers since the April school holidays and theyre not used to full on for so long., On a really great note the skywalk is awesome as was the humpback whale boat trip! Have a fab trip for those heading this way and stock up!
