24.01.2022 Forgive me father for I have sinned. It’s been a while since my last confession but over the past few weeks I have been carrying around this enormous feeling of guilt.. You see father I am tasked everyday with the responsibility of producing exquisite mouthwatering and timeless cocktails, designed to entice and excite all who dare pass this divine elixir over their wanting lips. I have sinned father for below is a delicious series of what should be Cocktail Shooters for ...which I am so renowned for, but no while these may look like one of my decadent range of Cocktails Shooters, they are missing one very important ingredientalcohol.. Yes that’s right these shooters contain no alcohol, none, nada, zip! You could drink these all night and all you’ll end up with is a brown moustache... (think milk :) ) Yes that’s right, occasionally I am required to make a delicious range of Mocktails and Mocktail Shooters for those among you who either can’t drink because of whatever reason, or simply don’t want to, but still want to have a fantastic night. which is really what we are all about. Well I am off to cleanse my soul and keep the spirit gods happy, time for a Martini. Have an awesome weekend. Cheers

22.01.2022 With Australia day nearly upon us, I have to ask, do we have a national signature cocktail to celebrate with? Manhattan has the Cosmo, Cuba has the Mojito and Singapore has its Sling, so what would be Australia’s national cocktail? We are known internationally for our Beer thanks to Fosters, but that’s not necessarily our view as Australians. We are very divided when it comes to what we like to drink. In Victoria the most popular beer is by far Victoria Bitter, whilst in Qu...eensland it’s XXXX and has been so for decades. If you see someone in Victoria drinking XXXX they are most likely a Queenslander. National cocktails typically have roots from the cultural history, attitudes or the weather of that country. In Victoria we can get all four seasons in one day, which to me just means we can have variety in what we drink. We may start with a Mojito while the sun is blazing and end with a Martini as frost settles in Whilst these cocktails are not from here, for me it’s a good enough reason to mix things up and celebrate the diversity of this great country of ours. If I had to pick a national cocktail for us I think it would be the Sex on the Beach made just the way I like it. We are surrounded by ocean so finding a nice piece of beach is not hard to do, unless of course you live in Shepparton in which case you may have to drive a little..:) I start with my Vodka of choice to give it some strength, either Russian or Polish, then I like to add Malibu, just to add the sweet romance of the Caribbean into the mix. We’ll also need a little of the Dutch Peach Schnapps, also known by brand as De Kuyper to add some warmth and depth. Add fresh orange & pineapple juice to ignite the passionate favours within and finish with a big splash of Grenadine to provide the sunrise. I would serve it in a martini glass, but for the inexperienced, a highball or goblet is better to avoid spillage, and for those who don’t want to get all sticky. On Monday we are looking at a temperature in the low 20’s, so as the BBQ sizzles away I think the Lynchburg Lemonade would be my pick to start with along with anyone else who will be joining me. Be safe & cheers

22.01.2022 With the rise in cocktail party and event enquires this week, we have noticed there seems to be a common point where everyone seems to get stuck when organising a cocktail event. It would be normal to think that people may get stuck on things such as when to have the event and at what time, or maybe the cost of hosting such an occasion, however neither of these things seem to be an issue. The problem seems to be choosing cocktails for the event. Now you may think that would ...be pretty easy, but normally when we think about what we like to drink, we think of ourselves and what we prefer. The sticking point seems to be in choosing these social delights for your numerous guests. What would they like to drink? We have provided some insight on how to go about doing this, as well as our cocktail list of over 100 classic cocktails separated into the occasion type categories. Click the article below to see more. Are there just too many great cocktails to choose from? Are people getting overwhelmed by all the pretty delicious looking pictures? Is it really possible to have too much of a good thing? What do you think? As always we welcome your comments, or feel free to send us an email about if you like.

22.01.2022 Need a little fun on your tongue, then this is the drink for you..;) The Grasshopper is certainly not a serious cocktail. It’s a fun, velvety smooth mix of rich chocolate and mint, and may just conjure up memories of eating choc mint lollies as a child. This delicious cocktail is absolutely perfect as a dessert, especially when topped with flakes of chocolate. The good thing is that it’s not a terribly strong cocktail alcohol wise, so you can certainly have more than one to c...ap of the night. It’s strange because for such a fun cocktail its origins date back to a much more serious time in history. It was said to have been created in 1919 just before Prohibition in America began, by Philibert Guichet Jr who was the owner of Tujaque’s bar in New Orleans. Philibert made this for a cocktail contest supposedly held in the same year, however this doesn’t appear to be likely, as one of the judges for the contest was Walter Winchell whose career didn’t really take off until 1920. This means that contest was most likely held during the Prohibition era, when the consumption and sale of alcohol in America was seriously against the law. This is certainly not a drink you’ll find on many bar menus, but I am glad to say it’s certainly on ours for guests to enjoy as a delectable late night treat. Cheers!

22.01.2022 Are you in the mood for love or lust ? Valentine’s day is typically the day of the year where we are socially condemned to show our loved ones just how much we love them in the form of long stemmed red roses and chocolates. This week is the week where both men and women scamper about the retail world looking for that special gift, and booking restaurants for dinner at twice the price of normal meal. In fact most restaurants will only have a set menu available for Lovers Nigh...t. If you can get a nice hotel room then you’re also one of the lucky ones, as most will be booked out to continue Lovers night activities exclusively for the company of two. Showing your beloved a great time has its benefits, but why all the stress and associated costs in trying to cram it all into one night. If you did the same thing a week earlier, or week later it would cost you half as much and you would enjoy yourselves much more, being relaxed. And no doubt the lustful end to the night will be even more explosive as you most certainly won’t be competing with the banshee like screams coming from the hotel room next door. Love is shown in many ways and for the most part it’s the little things that count, so why not make it count every day of the year instead of just the one . Be more adventurous and step out of your comfort zone when it comes to your lover. Light candles, smell delicious, and break out the good underwear, or none at all if that’s your style, and last but not least sip on a sweet rose martini as it will warm you up from the inside, while your lover warms you up on the outside. Happy Valentine’s Day!

21.01.2022 Is everyone around you sick with the flu? It seems everywhere I look people are sniffling and sneezing around me complaining of this dreaded flu that hits every winter. I might have just the thing to get rid of it just that little bit quicker, and make you feel a hell of a lot better in the process. It’s a little old school, and many of you would have heard of this but have never done it. It’s a remedy that dates back to the1700’s in Scotland, it is the Hot Toddy. Back then ...this drink was made with a smoky scotch whisky, some hot water, lemon and honey, however over time this recipe has evolved and these days you can just use your favourite brown spirit, be it bourbon, rum, scotch or Irish whisky. I personally like scotch, but for the Hot Toddy I prefer to use the sailors choice, rum. Here is the recipe; 60ml Rum, Bourbon, Scotch or Irish Whisky 20ml Fresh lemon juice 2 Cinnamon sticks 1 Tsp Manuka honey (Optional) Cloves Method Add all ingredients to a heat proof glass of around 250ml, and top with boiling water. Stir and drink this as hot as you can, and as fast as you can. It won’t be long before your nose dries up (about 15mins) and you’ll feel a lot better. If not, repeat! You may find yourself laughing and cackling for no reason at all, but this is just a happy side effect. Also another thing you can be sure of is that with one or two of these, you will sleep like a baby. Cheers to good health :)

19.01.2022 It's Mojito day today !! Well that's what we think anyway. The sun is shining, there's a slight breeze in the air and it's almost 5 o'clock. What could be more refreshing than a little Bacardi, some fresh limes, the aroma of mint, crushed ice topped with soda water...Hmm maybe a yacht to sip it from.. ;)

19.01.2022 Which frozen daiquiri tickles your fancy or even your tastebuds? We are still in the midst of summer and there’s not much more refreshing than a frozen daiquiri. Now don’t get me wrong, I am not talking about the slushy machines you see at 7/11, nor am I talking about the daiquiri machines you can hire for parties that produce cordial laden snow cones, with so much sugar that you’re just not sure if they contain any alcohol at all. I am talking about a cocktail that was crea...ted in 1912 by Constantino Ribailagua of Cuba. Now back then they didn’t have slushy machines or blenders so this version was made by crushing ice by hand, putting it into the glass and pouring the shaken alcohol mixture over the top. This has an almost immediate freezing effect and gives the drink it’s light sorbet texture. As you would expect like most drinks that originate from Cuba, it contains rum. These days we have our saviour, the blender. It can produce 6-8 drinks at a time with perfect consistency. There are many versions of the frozen daiquiri, here at Cocktail Events we do the strawberry, peach, mango and the banana daiquiri as shown in the picture. You can use almost any fruit or combination of fresh fruits, just don’t mix too many or it might get a little confusing to the taste buds. I think my favourite fruit fusion daiquiri to would be fresh strawberries with over ripe bananas, Bacardi rum, a hint of Malibu Coconut Liqueur and a light squeeze of fresh lime. I may even add this to our menu under a Fruit Fusion range that utilises only the freshest in season fruits. Naturally these would change from season to season. What do you think? Do you have a favourite frozen daiquiri, or maybe a "Fruit Fusion" cocktail you'd like to try? Cheers!

You can now literally buy your cocktail party online in just a few clicks or under 3 minutes, we checked! We have chosen the cocktails for you, all you need to do is tell us where to be and when, then sit back and enjoy the party... Click the image below to learn more..

14.01.2022 Can I entice and excite you with a ‘Hot Shot’ of sweet vanilla, fresh hot coffee and a big dose of warm cream? It’s quite a mouthful I assure you Many of you may not remember this drink, it was introduced way back in about 1987 and was known as the Galliano ‘Hot Shot’. Now Galliano has been around for years, since 1896 to be exact and comes from our Italian friends. Most of you will be familiar with the Black Sambuca variety of Galliano but what I am talking about here is t...he original vanilla version, which the yellow one. The ‘Hot Shot’ is the perfect way to warm up on a chilly night like tonight. If you still have a few of these sexy original shot glasses sitting in the cupboard, then now is the time to use them. You will need a 60ml shot glass, then layer in order; 15ml Galliano Liqueur (Vanilla) 25ml of your favourite hot espresso coffee 20ml of either thickened or very lightly whipped cream Told you it was a mouthful Yum!

12.01.2022 Have you been Fudpucked lately? Probably not! This delicious Freddy Fudpucker cocktail was in it’s prime in the 70’s although it’s thought to have been invented in the 50’s or 60’s, but like a lot of great cocktails their origins are quite hard to track. The Fudpucker is the Mexican cousin of the Harvey Wallbanger, which substitutes Tequila with Vodka. It’s thought that these two cocktails enjoyed their popularity way back then as a result of a marketing campaign run by th...e importers of Galliano Liqueur at the time. These days when you think of Galliano, you're probably thinking of either the white or black Sambuca, however the one used in these cocktails is the original yellow one. Both of these cocktails are super refreshing especially on these hot days. So grab yourself some Vodka or Tequila, add some 100% orange juice, and float some original Galliano on top, enjoy! :) Cheers!

05.01.2022 First and foremost I would like to thank everyone who has taken an interest in the Cocktail Events page by liking it. Our motto and tag line is Real Cocktails, Real People & Real Fun so that’s exactly what this page will be about. Real Cocktails is all about the drinks from about the last 100 years that have all but been forgotten. We reproduce only the most exquisite cocktails from the 1920’s, when the cocktail was an indication of the stature of its holder, and when sophist...ication and seduction were mere themes for the night, all the way through to an era where one can sing at the top of their lungs in any bar across Australia and be crowned a bloody legend, I speak of course of the 80’s. Real People is truly about who you really want to spend your time with. The advantage of being a mobile cocktail bar is that we can be almost anywhere at any time, which means that our clients have the choice of where and when they would like to enjoy these elusive cocktails, as well as who they would like to enjoy them with. Real Fun is about the fusion of great cocktails and great people, by adding professional, fun cocktail bartenders. We celebrate with you and engage with your guests, because we know that having great people and freshly made, mouth-watering cocktails will make your event a truly fun and remarkable experience. Well that’s a snapshot of what experiences you’re in for by simply having liked this page and there’s so much more to come Over the coming weeks we will launch our members only area, known only as The Inner Rim, keep your eye out for the updates on that one

04.01.2022 Do you feel like skinny dipping in Paris? The birthplace of this cocktail is a world famous bar just a short stroll from the Seine River in the heart of Paris. What could be more invigorating than a quick dip in the river, especially when currently it’s 5am over there and about 6 degrees Celsius. Any guy you know that’s prepared to do that gets my vote for the worlds shortest open display of manhood, and would probably make it into the Guinness record books. This cocktail w...as created by Andy MacElthone in the warmth of the oldest cocktail bar in Europe, which opened in 1911 and was just named New York Bar. It was later purchased by Harry MacElthone, Andy’s father who in 1923 added his name to the front of it to attract the growing number of Americans heading to Paris. Andy created this colourful drink known as the Blue Lagoon in 1960 when blue curacao first appeared in a bottle. The recipe for this has changed a little over time. When Andy first made the Blue Lagoon he used vodka, blue curacao & fresh lemon juice, instead of lemonade which we currently use today. However you decide to have it, I can assure you it’s more refreshing than a predawn dip in the Seine River, and certainly much prettier to look at. Cheers!
