Did you know that you have lots and lots of eyelash hairs in the early anagen phase (actively growing stage) of hair growth? 10.01.2022 It was Monday, 21st September 2015 ... I was a little nervous but also very excited for my first day of trade as Cocoa Lux. All I was hoping for was to be busy enough to keep operating and, thanks to you all, I’m still standing five years later! (Even despite a pandemic!) Can you believe it?!? To all my clients (past & present) thank you so much for your support over the years. 10.01.2022 I’m so appreciative of texts like these It can be confusing as to what you’re required to do when someone in your family has a COVID test. While the Children’s Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service website states that other members of your family or household (who are feeling well) are not required to stay at home or self-isolate, I prefer to postpone your appointment until your child’s test results have been received. If you or your child/family are not under a q...uarantine order, we can reschedule as soon as your daughter/son’s negative test result is received from the Public Health Unit. I’d like the thank my clients again for your honesty when dealing with these COVID situations. While cancelling or rescheduling an appointment may be frustrating, the safety of all my salon clients (& myself) is my number one priority. 03.01.2022 A sign of the times but Maskne is a real thing. Acne and irritation caused by the friction, heat, moisture and clogging of pores from wearing a mask. Some things you can do to minimise the breakouts ... 1. CLEAN, BREATHABLE MASK : Dermatologists suggest 100 percent cotton as a good compromise (it allows skin to breathe a bit) As the temperature rises, you sweat more, so you will need to keep it clean by washing it regular... just like you would with your underwear!!... 2. CLEAN YOUR SKIN REGULARLY: It is imperative to wash away the sweat, oil and general build up created from the occlusion of wearing a mask. Glycolic and Salicylic cleansers provide a deeper and more effective cleanse. * Some ultra sensitive skins may not cope with these type of cleansers so opt for a gentle cleanser that suits your reactive skin. 3. AVOID WEARING MAKE UP : you may have to temporarily break up with your make up! For those who really struggle to do this, try a tinted moisturiser with SPF. 4. APPLY A MOISTURISER : you still need to moisturise you’re skin! It can actually act as a barrier and protect you from mask friction.
