23.01.2022 I put these affirmations together for the girls a few weeks ago; laminated and stuck it just above their change table, which prompts us to practice them while changing. I say each one and they repeat it - and the last one we throw our hands up in the air. They’re two, so of course sometimes it goes like this: I am loved. No.... I am safe. No. I am kind. No. Etc. haha They also try and pull it down so often I’m the one saying ‘no’ over and over! But we’ll persevere because most of the time they do repeat them and hopefully they’ll soon be able to memorise them and consequently believe each one, always.
19.01.2022 Hands up for first day in the pre-kindy room at day care today! Leading up to today we’ve spent a bit of time at home talking about their new room and looking at photos of their new educators. We visited the room last week and checked out the new areas and equipment and Maddie (in yellow) and Ashley (in pink) have been so excited about starting! And I’m so proud of them; this morning they walked into their new room confidently and settled in beautifully. We’re in lockdown during a pandemic and all of their new educators who they don’t know yet are wearing masks over their faces - but this didn’t unsettle them. Kids are amazing. But pandemic aside, I’m so proud of my babies regardless. Their confidence and their natures blow me away sometimes. Proud mama today!
