25.01.2022 My loves! I’m here until 6pm Christmas eve and will return 22nd January. I'm honouring a glimmering break that is singing me to rest, replenish and wander while cutting the cord to living by structure and clock time for 1 lunation. We continue to book out, there are only 22 floats left for Dec. I've extended hours, opening Wednesdays and the 22nd is for members only. 23.01.2022 This was very special. @erinmontgomerydesigns was as our latest artist-in-residence who was also pregnant at the time. The day of her scheduled second float, Erin called to cancel because she had given birth only a few hours earlier! I could hear little baby squeaks over the phone even eeeeeeeekkkk Thank you for this work, these honest words and allowing me in on a very special day for you, Erin. ... Repost - This work was created as the result of my float. I had floated numerous times prior to this, but this one was particularly memorable as I went into labour just days afterwards. Often when inside the tank I feel vulnerable, and sometimes I scramble to put my feet down and make sure the bottom of the tank is still there in the endless depths. But this float I only experienced a fierce, strong energy, with no worries or thoughts about the depths. I highly recommend floating to any women who are pregnant. It was calming and nurturing, a beautiful way to ease the body and mind into labour. It was also a time to step outside my identity and simply be a vessel for new energy to come into this physical reality. My wish for us is that as we age, we continue to dive, bathe and frolic in the nourishing divine deep waters of the all creative force within. (Float tanks provide a great environment to help us foster this connection ) To know this love is not unobtainable nor some whimsical new or old age idea. And to know we deserve and once aligned, this fulfilling energy moves fluidly from and through us as we design our ow...n unique consciousness and gift this to the world. It’s also up to us as sisters who dig deeper to know the value of a matriarchal definition of beauty while reaping the rewards of deconditioning. Here is one ~ ‘Women get more beautiful as they grow older. Not less. Female youth is prized in modern culture because it doesn't represent as much of a threat spiritually to anyone who is frightened of divine feminine power. As women grow and mature, they call in stronger forces of sacred feminine wisdom. They vibrate with the creative power of their stories. They are more of a force to be reckoned with. They see more, know more, feel more. They put up with a lot less bs. When women are trained into thinking there is something fundamentally wrong with getting older, and are coerced into spending money, energy and power investing in 'slowing the signs of aging', an enormous vault of divine love is lost. 19.01.2022 Blessed to welcome in Henok this weekend who initiated becoming a teen with a float! Henok has been floating with me since age 8 and he came on the eve of his 9th birthday, second pic. I remember he came out of his float and said ‘I feel a lot calmer and like I am a wise 8yr old. But tomorrow, I will be a wise 9yr old’. Proud float coach heart-in-pieces moment.. 15.01.2022 Please meet Pete I had the honour of floating this incredible soul who is visiting from England. Pete has wanted to try floating for a while and it was #13 on his bucket list. Pete is a musician who is a below the knee amputee who has lived through addiction and cancer twice. Three weeks after marrying his partner Hollie, he was given a terminal cancer diagnosis. Instead of going to pieces or turning back to drugs, he picked up his guitar and started writing again. He i...s also fundraising to complete his ‘Not Dead Yet Bucket List’ of things to do/see/experience before his health deteriorates to a stage where he is unable. What Pete doesn’t realise is that he is on my list of most memorable floaters/floats. Being in Pete’s high buzzing warm creative aura was inspiring and the buzz infectious. Hugging him also made me feel at home and I’m incredibly grateful to receive him and have Hollie in also. It’s Pete’s 27th birthday on Tuesday. He is also a twin. 13.01.2022 My loves, while still closed and waiting on approval to reopen and then deciding when I will reopen, I will update you, I wish to offer you something as an extension of Cocoon that may help you in finding tranquility while replenishing yourself. I sent this out at beginning of lockdown to my email subscribers and wish to send to you knowing we also have a global family. The nature sounds you hear in our bathroom are actually 3D and were recorded by me and mixed and mastered b...y my ex-husband who is the brilliant sound scientist, Dr Guillaume Potard. We called ourselves 'Somatic Sounds' and our CD was sold in treasured independent bookstores. The technique we used to produce the sounds is known as binaural recording. This way of recording captures the sounds along with spatial auditory cues that enable your brain to hear in 3D. You will hear the sounds exactly as if you are present at the recording site when you listen through headphones, which give the full 3D effect. The better quality the headphones the better the 3D effect. We recorded sounds from as far north as The Daintree Rainforest along the East Coast to Eden and it was a 2 year period of gathering sounds. Praise be, it was Gui who introduced me to floating 15 years ago while being a base ingredient in my life's recipe and we made the decision to walk different paths 6 months after I started Cocoon. We also stopped distributing the album. It feels the right time to release again thinking about you while Cocoon is closed and with Gui's permission, we would love to offer you the album as a gift. Knowing sound can be a powerful healing modality along with you aurally associating these sounds with Cocoon will add another dimension of relaxation for you I feel. 13.01.2022 The nature sounds in our bathroom were recorded by me and mixed & mastered by Dr Guillaume Potard. You’ll hear sounds from The Daintree Rainforest, which is over one hundred million years old and one of David Attenborough’s favourite places. Funny story - we stayed in an amazing place open to the jungle with no doors or windows. We had to lock up our food in cupboards with padlocks. The bush rats eat through tin cans in The Daintree.. (Radiators also btw...)The nature so...unds are actually binaural meaning I was recording with small microphones in both ears. This makes the recording sound 3D. Anyway, I put the microphones on my bedside table and drifted off to sleep. During the night a bush rat popped in, CHEWED and ATE the microphones That was the end of that recording trip! 10.01.2022 People asked about the melon cleanse today when in, previous post. This particular cleanse I’m doing is inspired by ancient yogic nutritional teachings, through Yogi Bhajan. This particular cleanse rehydrates the cells, cleanses the heart, arteries, blood & digestive system. It also brings mental clarity and deepens intuition, which clears a direct pathway to accessing personal truth. When I’m shifting realities I eat lightly as to not hinder my process. A part of shiftin...g realities means for me, releasing/changing limiting beliefs and healing trauma and pains from the past. I've fully surrendered to it and I'm also very aware of what this means for you Firstly, I'm honoured a lot of you are thinking about me. It’s day by day and I will remain transparent with you. I'm feeling extremely optimistic, empowered and not engaging in drama. My life's learning has grown me to be incredibly resilient, creative and adaptable. I believe feeling sorry or worryin...g about someone is disempowering for them and I ask that you send me thoughts of us hugging, laughing and talking about tank life - 'I never know if my are eyes are open or closed!'. My thoughts are also about how I can continue to offer you my love and right now, I'm focused on the logistical and mechanical side of things. I will be back in touch soon. While fear and anger/sadness circulates I wondered if I could ask something of you as a floater that would make me proud. For one, you have skills to draw on from being in isolation. You can also recall the post-float state at any time and bring this calm to yourself and others around you. Anytime you feel 'outside' of yourself, lay down and imagine being in the tank. Feel the silky solution against your body and remember that feeling of coming home and feeling safe. You will feel what this does for you. Stay there for some time. A few pregnant women who float with me have practised this while giving birth and it has helped them immensely. 07.01.2022 The feminine quality of being is very undervalued in a culture of promoting constant hussle for many things, material gain being one. And on top of that what if you don’t dance in a fear based structure that is promoted to you? Such as devaluing your time and product/service by constant discounting or giving it away etc. Non fear based approaches are not the common way and so won’t be understood by the majority. That’s all fine too. However it doesn’t mean you need to bend your ways and conform if you are wanting to rise from a love based approach. I was struggling big time with my grief, stress & anxiety and needed a safe place to process my emotions and start healing. Whilst my journey is still going I’m in such a better headspace thanks to the peace & focus I’ve gained from using the float tanks. Whenever I feel overwhelmed it’s such a comfort knowing I can step into a tank, switch off, escape for an hour & come out refreshed, centered and happy..
