23.01.2022 This large room had no purpose before. It was designed as a second #livingroom. There is only one small #bedroom upstairs! It did not make any sense to me to use this area and live in that small bedroom. The living room should be cozy and bedrooms large instead. So I have designed the large area as my bedroom and to give hotel experience divided it into bed, sitting and study area. Turned the bedroom into a walk-in wardrobe. 22.01.2022 I think demo day is very overrated in nearly every renovation show. Yes, knocking down, smashing and karate-chopping is fun but how exciting it is to build something new. Even if it is just a wall! Now it is your chance to shine, build something special, use your creativity to overcome challenges. I love this wall next to the stairs. It had to be designed very carefully because we lost so much valuable space from an already small living room by closing the space under the... stairs. This is what I have achieved by adding a wall.: I had a chance to add cables and a night light that also works as a spotlight for art on the other side of the wall you see when you are going upstairs. Art is in a niche so looks more special. Again, at the back, organized as a pocket door for the upstairs parent's retreat. So it is larger than a normal door, makes it easier to put a king-size bed in the room in a tight corridor. The door to the guest room the door you see under the stairs is now the door to under stairs server room/guest room storage. Front of the wall from dining room area cleared the cluttered look of the stairs and designed as a TV wall. I did not have enough space in the living room to put decent size storage under the TV for all electronics so left a hole under the wall to push in a custom-built cabinet. As it was a new wall, my husband’s wish list of not so exciting cables and plugs etc. was also added for the new server room. Some stronger beams added to where the TV will go. With one wall, I also now had a walk-in wardrobe for the guest room. This all makes great sense to me but hopefully makes sense to you too? 21.01.2022 This is how I imagine the loft should look like. (I love the rendering job BTW) Unfortunately, couldn’t find the majority of these products at the shops. (At least at the ones at my reach) As usual, I have something in my mind, and IT HAS TO HAPPEN! Probably, custom design. 21.01.2022 This Christmas photo was taken in Rome Christmas markets last year. We didn’t know we were in the middle of the pandemic, no social distancing as you can see Two months later, all these places we visited were ghost towns. All those people we hugged and laughed together were in lockdown. So sad This year has been hard for me but heard somany worse lives and struggles from my sister in UK (missed a year of my nephews), friends all around the world and my parents in Turkey (I... missed them most) I cannot complain. I would like review 2020 in a few years time and remember this year as the year I started my company. Wish everyone a better 2021 and something to look forward to. Lots of love! #merrychristmas Edit: Many things have changed since I wrote this text. Looks like 2020 is not done with me yet. My dad lost his battle with cancer. My sister couldn't go from London and I couldn't go from Sydney. Only 2 were allowed at the funeral. I now know what I look forward to for 2021. A big family hug with my mum, sister, nephews...

16.01.2022 You need to save 10% deposit to buy a house. Some suggest saving 20% but in my opinion do not wait that long for your first home. Getting in the house market is more important. You can save 20% for the second house especially if you add value to the house. Move quickly to the second house when you sort out your finances. 14.01.2022 I have even earlier BEFORE photos, but you cannot see anything from those photos. My backyard was a jungle before with a close to collapsing granny flat all the way till the house on the right-hand side. Everything is very strategically planned for the backyard to reduce the cost and still have everything I wanted... For example, Outdoor kitchen is there to block the water tank instead of relocating it, also serves as a second kitchen for the guest room and flows well with th...e rest of the design Cook Eat casual hang out area. Another example: it was not a huge cost to add an outdoor shower next to the pool after bringing hot and cold water plumbing for the kitchen. We have resurfaced the pool, filled around the pool with concrete, and tiled it. Knock down the granny flat and put turf there instead. Again concrete and tiled an outdoor living area to make the living room look larger. I used real wood flooring inside and same look and size outdoor tiles for outside to help eyes follow the direction I want them to follow A fireplace and electrical heating for winter use. 05.01.2022 If you are have seen my YouTube video about the initial planning of the Pearl Beach house renovation, you might remember that the ensuite in the Loft was very small. I have considered all options to find a way to extend it on a budget and decided to make it an open bathroom. I will add a bathtub in the room and remove the ensuite door to get that large bathroom feel. When I add the sky windows on the ceiling, having a bath seeing the tall trees and sky will be an amazing ...feeling. There is no privacy issue here, just trees; still added curtains for the loft if you are worried. I am saving by keeping the plumbing exactly where it is. I will knock down the ensuite wall half to create a sperate toilet area with a separate door. This way bathtub and the toilet can be used by a couple at the same time. Toilet location is also great as there is a storage behind it. I would like to add in built toilets to save space here. In Australia, walls are not deep enough to add these toilets. 02.01.2022 Turning a room into a walk-in wardrobe was a great idea. Now, I can finally get my champagne, sit right in the middle of the room where I can see alI my Target clothes Never happened of course but the possibility of doing this is nice. I did need storage though. I knew, I would never have chance to get ready for a night spending hours, so I will now tell you how cheap I am. Rest of the room did cost a lot! THIS IS THE PHOTO OF THE CHEAP. This ottoman is a Big W kids range. ...I was looking for a cheap ottoman with gold legs to match with the other metals in the room. Bought this one for $50. Upholstered with a high-end upholstery fabric I bought in Turkey by myself. Other one is the Ikea wardrobe at the back. I asked the cabinet maker to cover the Ikea wardrobe as it is built in. I needed one cabinet with mirrors. Ikea wardrobes are not cheap, good quality and having new drawers was costly. Honestly, main reason was: Have you ever tried moving a wardrobe downstairs? The side table is Kmart.
