23.01.2022 CoderDojo Hawthorn #5 CoderDojo Hawthorn is a new branch that has been running since October 2016. Thank you for all the volunteers for your help also! Students who attend the CoderDojo Hawthorn use a source example of code and output in paper. The examples were taken from Bitsbox. This is good for the kids to learn the basics of coding. Each child had a different scenario so they had to brainstorm in order and edit their code. One of the scenarios was creating a parking lot ...and moving the car around by code. They also learnt how to increase and decrease the size and speed of the car and various other fun things. When your child attends a CoderDojo session, they will learn: Teamwork/teambuilding activities Brainstorming Coding languages The kids learnt a lot of things during the session and had a lot of fun with volunteers and their parents using technology!
