18.01.2022 How did you find shopping for gluten free food in years gone by!? Margaret Clough volunteered for over twenty years for Coeliac Australia and shared her experience on shopping for gluten free food in the 1980’s A gluten free existence in 1980 was tough! Very few people had heard of coeliac disease or gluten gluten free products simply did not exist in most places and where I lived in the Nation's Capital, there were no breads, no rice cakes, no muesli, no pasta, no cakes ...and certainly no pizza. .... 18.01.2022 Although the logo may have changed over the years, the purpose remains the same; products using this logo have been reviewed and approved by Coeliac Australia as part of our endorsement program and are suitable for a gluten free diet. The endorsement program has grown and now contains 150 brands and 1,500 products! 16.01.2022 The Coeliac Australia accreditation program has grown over the years from it's beginning back in 2014 with just 3 businesses for a trial of 57 businesses in 2020! We look forward to growing and expanding the program in the years to come. When you see our gluten free accreditation symbol you can make an informed choice and eat with confidence. The symbol represents businesses that comply with the Gluten Free Standard for the Australian Food Service Sector and have successfully completed staff training and an onsite compliance audit. 13.01.2022 Accreditation news! We are super excited to announce the accreditation of our first hotel in South Australia! The Duke of Brunswick already has a slew of ‘firsts’ and awards to its name and now they can add Accredited by Coeliac Australia to this list. 09.01.2022 The @GlutenFreeExpo has grown to be a much anticipated event on the calendar. Did you know the Gluten Free Expo was first held in 2005 in NSW? It has now expanded with Expo’s taking place in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions the Expo moved online to provide the Gluten Free Expo experience from home!
