15.01.2022 UPDATE - Maria Island - Darlington Precinct - infrastructure works August to October 2020 Through the School Holiday period from 26 September to 11 October 20...20, the road from the Jetty to Darlington will be reopened and luggage trollies will be available for use. The road will be a little uneven underfoot. Earthworks in the immediate Darlington area will be revised back to 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday. There will be heavy machinery onsite and significant vehicle movements between the Jetty and Darlington. Visitors can expect loud noise, dust and ground vibrations at the rear of the Penitentiary. For visitor safety, please adhere to all signs and directions. The Commissariat Store Visitor Information Centre and Visitor Service staff can be contacted on the number displayed on the information board on the Rangers Office should the Comms Store be unattended during normal operational hours.
