11.01.2022 Beginnings of The Serpent! After humbling demand for our one off DeClare Denim Japanese Dream we were super excited to get started on our second long denim piece. This star is currently being upcycled from an historic 1950s soft black satin and gold sequin cocktail dress. Although the zip and fabric was beyond repair on the dress it still brought tears to my eyes to cut the serpent bling out of it. Now we see how this jacket is coming together it made it worthwhile Loving working on this sooo much!!

It peaked out at me from the myriad of other garments jostling for attention, wanting to be taken home and loved again. 04.01.2022 Named after a song by an awesome band ... heres a sneak peak of Lovesong With times as they are I have taken this opportunity to choose a song by The Cure as my inspiration for this black beauty. The songs sentiment talks about spending time with a cherished one ... I thought it a great segue because on that same note, I am also going to use the next few weeks to tap out for a while, taking some much needed downtime (as Im sure you all probably do in this sometimes... chaotic world of ours) to spend some wonderful time with my own loves...daughter, partner and upcycling new denim jacket designs.
