24.01.2022 KITCHEN UPGRADE So at last the final touches- today Damian Woods finished voluntarily professionally painting our newly renovated kitchen at the Marble Range C...ommunity Centre . What a pity we’re not currently able to operate it . After a major effort involving more than twenty volunteers from our community to pull apart and gut the old kitchen on Sunday the 2nd of February we now have this amazing facility . With the contribution from Trent Adams at Lincoln Steel we lifted the floor level up 270 mm with a steel floor frame to be level with the main hall . Chris Coote from The Flyman donated the termite treatment of the subfloor . The team from Owen Construct and Design relayed a new floor , tidied up the wall frames and reclad the walls . Once again Shannon from Miller’s Kitchens helped us out with some amazing new state of the art commercial quality cupboards which were brilliantly finished off with stainless steel bench tops , splash backs and exhaust canopy by Mark Shepperd’s Coffin Bay Engineering . Commercial standard gas and hot & cold and waste plumbing by Ricky Myers from Myers Plumbing , air conditioning from Ramsey Refridgeration and a special effort from Daniel Wedd to fist and second fix the electrical contract and then of course Woodsy’s painting. All the above tradesmen and businesses who are already valued members of our community donated a substantial amount of their labour or materials to make this all achievable. Thanks to an awesome MRCSC committee, Stacy Mellor and Julie Crettenden for Grant assistance, a grant from Supporting Communities Program via Rowan Ramsey’s office and to Pip McFarlane for being there from almost start to finish.
