25.01.2022 A sneak peak at last nights seafood masterclass with Kris Bunder staring the one and only Coffin Bay Marron SUMMER IN PORT LINCOLN #comingsoon... Visit Port Lincoln Del Giorno's Cafe Restaurant Australian Coastal Safaris Kinship Productions

24.01.2022 It’s up! A few weeks ago an awesome journo called Brooke Neindorf stumbled upon our Facebook page, and a few days later we were sitting by a channel chatting about our little farm and those special creatures living under the water If you missed The Country Hour last week you can check out her online story here... Thanks Brooke, we had a ball meeting you and doing our first radio interview!

23.01.2022 The count down is on until we start harvesting these beauties again mid-December! We can’t wait!

23.01.2022 One of the ways we feed is by driving along the side of the channel and blowing grain into the water, which sinks to the bottom for the marron and yabbies to eat. They have been going to town on the hay and grain lately so we can not wait to start harvesting again once all the baby marron hatch!

21.01.2022 HAPPY FATHERS DAY to our favourite marron farmer, Benjamin Underdown! Thank you for supporting us. You mean the world to me and I wouldn’t be as amazing as I am if it weren’t for you Have fun at work, wish you were beer! ... Love, Izzy

16.01.2022 What a top bloke! We love getting feedback about our marron and yabbies, and when a message like this comes through from a true master like Josh Niland it makes all the hard work and long hours totally worth it! Thanks Josh, Fish Butchery Paddington and Saint Peter, Paddington for all of your support as we launched Coffin Bay Marron, you’re all legends!!

13.01.2022 This channel is called ‘shags’ (our nemeses!) because of one giant tree on the waters edge which the shags love to perch in. @kinshipproductions

11.01.2022 When we say all our channel water is filtered through the limestone crust...we mean we are right on the limestone crust! With only a few inches of top soil here, we needed to get this old girl out to dig some holes for the baby gums we are planting around the farm.

08.01.2022 We are racking our brains trying to think of a better way to end a beautiful winters day!

07.01.2022 Our last delivery for the season!! If you can’t wait until December, pop into the incredible 1802 Oyster Bar - Coffin Bay to enjoy our last marron for the season! We can’t wait to start harvesting commercially again in December!!

06.01.2022 What a model! #coffinbayyabbies

05.01.2022 The best form of stress relief...

04.01.2022 Coming from limestone filtered groundwater, our marron and yabbies are a very clean crustacean with no muddy flavour even straight out of the water. We then purge them in tanks to ensure the highest quality product for our restaurants and fresh fish suppliers Kinship Productions

02.01.2022 Fun fact: If marron or yabbies lose a limb (claw, walking leg or antenna) it will grow back, starting at the next moult! However, unless the lost part is small, total regeneration is not immediate and usually three or four moults are needed to restore the limb completely. Kinship Productions

01.01.2022 Every 5 years Benjamin gets to play with his favourite toy! He works his way along the kilometres of channels digging out the sediment which gathers on the bottom. This keeps them as clean as possible while also reducing organic matter, which otherwise decomposes and uses up the oxygen in the water.
