25.01.2022 Covid has done a lot more than just take our gigs away from us - it’s wreaked havoc on the lives of the artists behind the albums we love. The affects have not only been detrimental to the musicians, but everyone involved in the music industry - from stage crew, producers and photographers. It’s been hard enough for the fans like ourselves who use live music as therapy but the scale of the damage covid has done to the music industry is immeasurable and so hard to truely compr...ehend. Now more than ever it’s important to support the scene that supports us; the fans, and the music community we love so much which is why the gang in Deaf Cult Initiative, Coffee Shop Soundtrack and Coffin Club Apparel have teamed up to raise funds to support those affected in our community. From the 1st of March until the 15th of March, we will be offering you the opportunity too win an ABSOLUTELY INSANE prize pack, courtesy of all three of us. We’re offering you the chance to win: - A $200 24Hundred gift card, courtesy of Super Special Merchandise and the 24Hundred team (god bless Lili!) - A Coffin Club Apparel shirt of your choice, in your size - A Deaf Cult Initiative shirt in your size* - A super secret mystery vinyl from the Deaf Cult Initiative vault - A copy of Silent Planet’s ‘Everything Was Sound’ on limited edition purple vinyl - and more! The winner will be drawn at 7PM AEST, on 20.03! 02.01.2022 People in the live music and entertainment industries are being severely impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. Thousands of jobs have been lost in recent weeks ...as a result of the cancellation of concerts, festivals, tours and shows. Reported losses across the sector amount to well over $100 million and are rising daily. While clearly necessary to protect the health of the nation, these cancellations have affected a huge array of music industry workers including artists, crew, management, promoters, vendors, publicists and everyone else who rely on live events for their income. The vast majority of these workers do not have the luxury of sick leave or annual leave - most live from gig to gig, tour to tour, or show to show. As the most prominent music industry charity, Support Act is committed to doing what it can to help those in need but our resources are limited. We urgently need to build our own war chest in order to provide even a modest level of crisis relief to people who have been impacted. Today we have therefore launched the COVID19 Emergency Appeal to accept donations from all sections of the Australian community.
