22.01.2022 Today should be the European Championships in Inverness! Yet again, for the 3rd time this year we can’t be with our friends and comrades competing on the compet...ition field, but hopefully this video of an old classic Rathven Market and an early Terry Tully composition Top Hat Tom will help lift the spirits today! Please support the band by liking our page and sharing this video! And if you really like it you might even like one of our latest CD’s...

18.01.2022 REMINDER FOR ALL TENOR DRUMMERS: your stick needs to be close to your hand to catch it every time! As a general rule, try tightening your strings to almost 90 degree angle to the hand for the most control over the stick! #lttenordrumming #stickcontrol

16.01.2022 Recently, we had the great privilege of being invited to visit the Andante Drums factory. This was a very informative experience, it was really educational to ...be shown the processes involved in the production of such a high quality product. Every stage of the process is undertaken with meticulous precision and is clearly demonstrated in the final high quality products, be it Bass, Tenor or Snare manufacture. There are such an array of colour combinations with Andante, that the only limit is perhaps your own imagination, you can be assured that whichever colour combination you choose it will guarantee to be finished to the highest standard possible. Andante pride themselves in supporting and supplying percussion products to the entire band fraternity and are highly supportive of pipe bands through all grades from Novice grades right through to Grade1. Indeed the appeal of Andante is a global one. Andante is a brand that reaches all continents, and is used by Simon Fraser University, Inveraray and District, Auckland and District, Marlacoo and District, Stuart Highlanders just to name a few. They are also an active sponsor in many drumming competitions including World Solo Drumming Championships, Winter Storm, Kingdom Thistle Solos and Livi Invitational Drumming for Enable Scotland. As you can see from our photos below there is a huge amount of work involved in bringing that high quality sound to an arena near you. We really want to thank all at Andante Percussion for this invitation, we were made to feel very welcome"

08.01.2022 2020 GRAFTON JACARANDA FESTIVAL POSTPONED The Grafton Jacaranda Festival Committee have reluctantly decided to postpone this year’s Festival in light of the evo...lving Covid-19 situation around the country. This decision was not taken lightly and was based on the Committee’s focus on the health and safety of everyone involved and to promote the ‘stay home, stay safe’ message to the broader community. We’re heartbroken to have had made this call, especially as this would have been the Festival’s 86th year, but due to the pandemic and the uncertainty around where things will be in late October we had no other choice. This decision was made after meeting with our key sponsors and stakeholders and it was unanimous that we postpone until more certain times in 2021 when we can invite everyone to a bigger and better event. We will still keep JACA HQ open to sell our great range of merchandise and answer any questions, the Clocktower will still be crowned and most importantly the trees will be in full bloom. So while there’ll be no Festival this year the natural beauty of the flowering Jacarandas which provides the underlying motive for our existence will still continue. To keep up to date with Grafton Jacaranda Festival news and details of next year’s event visit www.jacarandafestival.com The dates of next years Festival are Friday 29 October to Sunday 7 November, 2021.
