25.01.2022 The club is now closed until further notice. Online bridge is becoming popular with some of our members;using BBO and MasterBridge online as platforms. We have 2 regular seasons a week, Wednesday’s and Saturdays. Phil is looking at getting a teams event going on Mondays. These are masterpointed and cost approx $5 a game ( AUS$3.60). 24.01.2022 A few members traveled to Armidale for their annual Swiss Pairs. Well done to Gillian Buganey and Gayle Keenan who were the best visiting pair

22.01.2022 The AGM was held at the club on Monday 3 December . Pauly stood down as House Manager, Barbara Herring as Publicity Manager and Cliff Mitchell as the IT Manager. Helen thanked them for all their hard work and welcomed 3 new committee members .The club welcomes Athene Brentnall & Anne Young ,the new House Managers .Nerellyn Mitchell is the new Publicity Manager and Alan Halliwell as the new IT Manager.

22.01.2022 Well done to the team of Robyn Bingham , Colin Tolley, Pauly Griffin & Mike Siford who came 3rd in Armidale Teams Congress held last weekend. It was made even more special as they braved the smoky conditions to travel there. Glenda Parmenter, President is also in the photo

It was made especially special as a local team won the Restricted Event . Well done to the team of David Shorter,Doug O Meara , Fran Gaunt & Jamie McFall ;winners of the Restricted Section

18.01.2022 Joan Butts held a worship at the club today. It was called ‘D Day’, two sessions on defence, it was excellent with attendees learning about opening leads , suit preference,when to cover and when not to cover as well as many more tips. Lunch was included

14.01.2022 Gold Coast Congress 2021 cancelled

14.01.2022 Our lovely Ann Thompson has just reached the ripe age of 100years young. The club held a celebration on 13 Monday. The room was almost filled to capacity with 100 players and visitors. Ann's son Malcolm , his wife and two small daughters also attended. There was bagpipes playing, a choir singing Scottish songs, cakes and of course a celebration cake and other Scots fare . It was a wonderful occasion and Colin made a great 'card 'in the shape of 100 which everyone signed . There was memorabilia of Ann's life on display. The NBN, the Advocate and Mayor Denise Knight paid a visit. Thanks to the Committee, especially Colin, for making it such a memorable occasion. 14.01.2022 Due to CoronaVirus the Club will close for approx 4 weeks from Wednesday 18/3 at 5pm.This is on the recommendation of the ABF.

08.01.2022 The Club held the annual Anniversary Teams thisafternoon. Congratulations to the winners:David & Mandy Johnson and Elaine Sherwood & Dorothy Briggs .Also to the runners up: David Mcyntre, Barry Butler, Mary O Malley Jones & Dianne Strachan. Cake, monetary prizes and red points made for a great afternoon. Thanks to all concerned in making the occasion such a success

06.01.2022 The Christmas Party took place Friday 7 December. This is always a great day. Your partner is not known until the day so this makes for some interesting bidding and contracts. The day is free and there are many prizes such as hams, hampers, restaurant vouchers, hair vouchers and chocolates. Lunch is provided and the day is fully paid for by the Super Congress Committee Special thanks to Robyn, Ann Fisher, Helen & Pauly
