25.01.2022 Hey Everyone, Jonny here from Coffee 4 Blokes. As some of you may know, we here at Coffee 4 Blokes, just like a lot of other businesses on The Coffs Coast, were... greatly affected by the impact of Covid 19. Jobs were lost, venue capacities were lowered and a lot of people were simply just too scared to step outside the comfort and safety of their own homes. As a result, our number of attendees dropped dramatically and due to lack of funds we ultimately were forced to cease our Weekly Meetups. Well, I write to you today with Great news! I am proud to announce that as of January 28 2021, we will be resuming our Coffee 4 Blokes Weekly Meetup. With the help and support of another Mens Program, namely, Blah Blah Blah Coffee For Blokes, we are now able to continue to provide men with a safe place to band together, forge strong friendships and share lifes challenges. Blah Blah Blah Coffee For Blokes is a support network based in Port Macquarie that aims to provide local men with a supportive yet relaxed environment to share and work through many of life's toughest issues. It's Founder and Facilitator, John Crisp, is an upstanding leader, mentor and friend to all. Together as a community, we can help shape local men. We can show and teach them that all hope is not lost when dealing with tough times. Whether it's from relationship breakdown, depression, job loss, mental health or anything else in between, we can work towards lowering the male suicide rate here on The Mid North Coast. Our Weekly Meetups will be on Thursdays at Toogetha with a new time slot of 6:30 pm. This will help cater to men who have daytime commitments, jobs and responsibilities. Entry is only $5. per person. This includes tea or coffee and refreshments. (see event for full details) Open to men from all walks of life - Hope to see you there.

06.01.2022 NOISE WORKS TO START SOON FOR COFFS HARBOUR BYPASS Early work is under way on the Coffs Harbour bypass, with at house noise treatments due to start once the pr...oject gets the official planning green light. The bypass, jointly funded by the Australian and NSW Governments, is the biggest infrastructure project in the history of Coffs Harbour. I know locals are keen to see shovels in the ground for this 14-kilometre bypass as it will deliver great benefits for our region and remove about 12,000 vehicles a day from the Coffs CBD. The approximate 12,000 direct and indirect jobs it will support over the life of the project is just what our region needs as we recover from the coronavirus pandemic. Residents will already have seen Transport for NSW at work on geotechnical surveys and field surveys for the relocation of utilities while the project continues to go through the necessary NSW Government planning process. As part of the project, the noise assessment in the Environmental Impact Statement and Amendment Report has identified homes that are eligible for at home noise treatment. At house noise treatments will start to be rolled out after the project receives planning approval. This is about working closely with the community to minimise noise impacts from the bypass. Installation of at home noise treatments for about 600 local properties is due to start before the end of this year, and once project approval is received, the individual houses will be reviewed to determine what work will be done on a case by case basis. Other early work planned includes construction of a new Rural Fire Service building, utilities relocation, fencing and demolition. At our respective election campaigns, Cowper MP Pat Conaghan and I committed to get at home noise treatments well underway before heavy construction starts, and we are working to prioritise those homes that are likely to be most affected by heavy construction. The Department of Planning, Industry and Environment is considering the Submissions and Amendment reports during its assessment of the project before the NSW Minister for Planning and Public Spaces and Federal Minister for the Environment decide whether the project is approved. https://www.pacifichighway.nsw.gov.au/coffsharbourbypass Pat Conaghan MP Authorised by G. Singh, Park Avenue, Coffs Harbour.

05.01.2022 Hey folks, one of our good friends had his garage broken into earlier this week and this bike was taken. It’s pretty distinctive so if you’ve seen it, please let us know. Alternatively if it’s found, we will happily accept its return at the shop, no questions asked. Thanks everyone
