25.01.2022 Did you know the 10,000 steps per day guideline actually originated in Japan after a pedometer was launched called Menpo-Kei which literally translated means 10,000 steps meter! Research has also shown that when it comes to walking, some is always better than none. This chart has data from a 2020 study that concludes increasing daily steps does lead significant health impacts! So - start small and gradually work your way to achieving those 10,000 life changing steps per day Reference link in bio.

14.01.2022 To our valued patients, Coffs Coast Sports Physiotherapy would like to assure our patients and clients that we are monitoring the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) information and advice closely. The situation is constantly evolving all around the world and the health and wellbeing of our patients is paramount and will be at the forefront of any decision made.... Based on current advice at this stage, all treatments and classes will continue. CCSP will continue to monitor the situation and act accordingly on advice from our medical experts, the Australian Government and the Australian Physiotherapy Association. Should public health advice and this position change, we will update our policies immediately. We ask that all patients and clients practice high levels of hygiene as per the government guidelines, such as: Use the hand sanitiser provided at reception on arrival to and departure from the clinic, or wash your hands with soap and water down the back in the kitchen Using a tissue and cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze, or use the crook of your elbow Avoiding close contact with others, such as touching, including shaking hands CCSP practitioners will be maintaining the highest possible level of hygiene. Beds and equipment are wiped down with disinfectant wipes after each consultation and practitioners are following guidelines specified. If you are feeling unwell, have Coronavirus / flu-like symptoms or have been in contact with someone who may be infected considering their recent gatherings, mode of travel, destinations both domestic and international please call to reschedule your appointment. We would appreciate all payment via card / contactless payments instead of cash where possible and will be removing magazines from reception to try and minimise any surfaces for virus transfer. We will remain open as normal unless we are advised to do otherwise. Most importantly - please be supportive of one another and check in on the elderly or isolated to see if they need anything. Thanks for your assistance during this difficult time for everyone. The team at Coffs Coast Sports Physiotherapy

11.01.2022 Coffs Coast Sports Physiotherapy COVID-19 update. CCSP are monitoring the recent Government announcements regarding COVID-19. The health of our staff, patients and local community remains our priority and we will continue our strict hygiene and patient screening policies as per our expert health authorities advice. ... Plans have been put in place and are constantly evolving for continuity of patient care. If State or Federal directives change we all need to be prepared for the health and well-being of our patients. This includes online / video treatment (known as TeleHealth) if the clinic is forced to close or if patients are unable to attend treatments due to illness or quarantine. To ensure you are getting the correct and most up to date information we ask you to follow the official guidance of the health department in regard to personal safety and hygiene. To receive current updates go to - Australian Government Department of Health In addition to CCSP's internal policy updates and procedural changes, our governing bodies Australian Physiotherapy Association, and Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA) are advocating for us, and keeping us up to date with best practice standards and protocols all to ensure the health of our teams, patients, stakeholders and clientele. Above all else we are here to help you recover from your injury and to manage your chronic health concerns. We know this is a strange time for many and it may last for quite a while, so it's important to support each other. It’s also important to stay active and to maintain a positive frame of mind. Please, remember to be kind to one another and check in on those who may be too proud to ask for help. If you require further information please email [email protected] or call us on 6651 9622.
