21.01.2022 Beautiful day down at the Olympic memorial pool park yesterday; with some fantastic food, clothes and great energy from everyone. Excellent to see the young people of Coffs Harbour serving their community and sacrificing their time; it gives us hope that there is a better way forward! Solidarity!

17.01.2022 Our street kitchen will be operating again today from 3-6pm, providing home-cooked meals, hot beverages and clothing for anyone who needs it. If anyone has any spare raincoats, ponchos etc. today would be a great day to bring them down to our kitchen at the rotary park (next to the memorial pool).

13.01.2022 The Community Union Defence League continues to provide mutual aid to those affected by the increasing homelessness crisis in Coffs Harbour. This week, while the Coffs Harbour City Council unveiled its $200,000 ‘security’ fence to further divide and alienate sections of our community, we provided essential items for those with insecure housing. 03.01.2022 We will be down at the Olympic Memorial park tomorrow providing food for those struggling over the Christmas period. While it is a time for festivity for many, it can be the most difficult time of year for people doing it rough: experiencing the stigma of poverty in an atmosphere of consumerism and feeling the loneliness of exclusion from the community. Many services also go on holiday for the Christmas period and don't start again til the new year. CUDL is committed to keeping people safe and nourished throughout the 12 months. It's everyday people like this that keep us running and allow us to keep feeding and supporting those who suffer from the gross indifference and material inequality of our "equal" society.
