08.01.2022 DID YOU KNOW no4?? You are required by law to give certain hand signals when cycling on the road!!! Yes.... a hand signalwhen turning right or merging to th...e rightlane IS REQUIRED BY LAW!! See the most common hand signals in the picture, thanks to @bicyclensw . It is essential to have a way to communicate with people around you to ensure safety for everyone during your ride. That’s why you need to know and use these hand signals, as well as calling out if necessary, to get your message across clearly and therefore placing yourself and others in the safest situation possible. If you are riding with a new group, we encourage you to discuss what hand signals to use so everyone understands. See more

07.01.2022 100 lapper finishers tonight. Special mention to Tommy today sitting behind the bike for 30 laps. Awesome effort for a little fella. Welcome back Chris and well done to all other riders also

07.01.2022 UPDATE: Given the continuing rain, we’ll review overnight if the social ride will go ahead in the morning. A post will be made around 6am in the morning to let everyone know what’s happening....fingers crossed it stops raining soon!! Hi everyone, I hope you are well and had a rest over the holiday period. For those of you that might need a little encouragement to get back on your bike or simply burn some holiday calories the Club is hosting a Social Ride on Sunday 10th Ja...nuary 2021. The route will start from Split Cafe in Sawtell, heading down to Mylestom and back via Pine Creek Way around 46km. The pace will be modest meaning around 25kmh average speed (so probably limits the ride to road bikes). Strava link here: https://www.strava.com/routes/2781005505379057750 The ride will leave Sawtell at 7am (so please arrive 6.50am). The group will stop or slow as needed to rebunch so don’t worry too much if you start to tire. We expect to be back at Sawtell at 9am for coffee and a natter. Please ensure your bike is in good running order and you have spare tubes etc. We want this to be fun, and a means of catching up or getting to know new members. By all means bring your ideas for events and activities for 2021 we want to hear them. Non members are welcome to come along. * pic of my bike just to get your attention
