19.01.2022 Marine Rescue Coffs Harbour is actively recruiting new volunteers looking to fill in some time and contribute to this valuable emergency service. We are looking... for Boat Crew, Radio Operators and Fundraisers. All nationally accredited training will be provided by our dedicated and knowledgeable volunteers, at no cost to you. For Boat Crew, you learn everything from tying knots to ocean navigation to Search and Rescue Planning. And of course you get to drive the boat. For Radio Operators, you learn everything from how to log on a vessel to how to handle an incident to ocean navigation as well, all within our modern radio room. Fundraisers will help out at our regular fundraising BBQ’s and other fundraising activities that bring in much needed funds to ensure our 24/7 operational status. All members have the opportunity to gain their First Aid and Advanced Resuscitation certificates, as well as their NSW General Boat Licence and Marine Radio Operators License. If you would like to assist with any aspect of the unit’s operations, there is no limit. You can help out in multiple areas.

15.01.2022 #Korora NSW 2450, we can move you! Local Aboriginal meaning of the name Korora is Where the waves make a loud noise." Korora is a small town located to the North of Coffs Harbour, the distance between Coffs Harbour and Korora is about 5 km. The economy was once based mainly on logging red cedar trees and bananas, now its being superseded by blueberries tourist and resorts. The wider region is known as the Bananacoast... Korora’s landscape is made up of high hills with bananas and blueberries growing down to the valley floor of Pine Brush Creek running out to the ocean at Hills Beach. Korora’s beaches stretch from Hills Beach in the north to Charlesworth Bay at the southern end. Korora/Coffs Harbour has been assessed by Australia's peak scientific body, the CSIRO, as the most liveable climate in Australia! The little suburb of Korora is situated opposite to the beautiful Solitary Islands Marine Park which means every ocean view from Korora has a gorgeous little Island. See more

11.01.2022 #korora The lovely little suburb of Korora NSW Australia overlooks the beautiful Solitary Island Marine Park as you can see from the photos there are little islands dotting the horizon of the Pacific Oceanmaking Korora a true jewel in the crown of NSW. The Solitary Islands of the Marine Park is a place where the warm waters of the East Australian Current meet cooler waters from the south. They bring together tropical, subtropical and temperate marine life. Many species... mingling here are at the northern or southern limit of their range. The marine park includes Pimpernel Rock, a submerged pinnacle rising to within a few metres of the surface. Critically endangered grey nurse sharks gather here, making it a popular dive spot. The Yaegl people are the traditional owners of the land and sea in the northern Solitary Islands. The Githabul / Gumbaynggirr people are the traditional owners of the land and sea in the central and southern Solitary Islands. The marine park is offshore from northern New South Wales. It covers 152 square kilometres, with depths from 15 metres to 70 metres. It has National Park, Multiple Use and Special Purpose zones. Explore Solitary Islands Marine Park adjoins the New South Wales park of the same name. There are plenty of opportunities for diving, snorkelling and nature watching in both. Catch a glimpse of a rare grey nurse shark at Pimpernel Rock on a dive tour from Coffs Harbour or Wooli, or join a whale-watching tour or fishing charter. Find out more from the NSW Solitary Islands Marine Park website. See more

06.01.2022 We service the Coffs Coast and beyond like Guyra New South Wales. #Guyra #NSW Located at 1330 metres above sea-level, Guyra is the highest town of the New England Tablelands and as such has a reputation for coldness and snow in the winter months. It is the coldest, northernmost town in the country. The town is primarily a service centre for the surrounding wool, beef, potato and fat lamb-producing properties and it celebrates this economic base with a sculpture which combines a sheep with potatoes - it is located on the New England Highway - and an annual Guyra Lamb and Potato Festival. The town sits on the watershed of the Great Dividing Range with rivers and creeks to the east flowing down to the Pacific Ocean and rivers to the west heading towards the Murray-Darling basin and South Australia.

05.01.2022 We service the Coffs Coast like beautiful #Moonee Looking for something to do in Coffs Harbour? Moonee Beach Nature Reserve offers walking, fishing, snorkelling, scuba diving and whale watching opportunities. At Moonee Beach Nature Reserve, the rare and unique thrive: endangered bats roost in seaside caves, pockets of coastal rainforest thrive and pandanus trees flourish. Threatened and uncommon plant communities grow on the exposed headlands of Bare Bluff and the confidently named Look At Me Now headland. This place of magnificent scenic views and glorious #mooneebeachnaturereserve #lookatmenowheadland #barebluffheadland
