For those of you who are on the list, I would like to say CONGRATULATIONS, I hope you're ready to put ...in the work so we can give it our very best shot at State Cup. For those of you that didn't and are one of our shadows, what this means is that you are there incase we have an injury, you will be slotted in. 18.01.2022 Sorry to announce that the fields are still closed and we have to cancel the Finals today. From feed back and from what the majority of people have said we have decided to hold the Final next year on Wednesday the 10th of February 2021... time to be advised in the new year but probably around 4.30 start time I understand this may not suit everyone but at least kids get to compete instead of going off the points ladder! Please let me know if your team will not be competing in ...the finals ASAP. This will also be a registration afternoon times to be advised for the next competition which will run on Wednesday’s next year commencing on the 3rd of March 2021 concluding on or around the 2nd of June.... will have a few extra wash out games if required. 16.01.2022 Well what a season of oz tag we have had and what a year! We finally made it back onto the fields after Covid changed our lives for quite sometime! I would like to thank everyone for helping us maintain a safe environment and managing to continue to run games under the Covid guidelines that had been implemented. I would also like to say thank you to all of our Fabulous refs and wonderful helpers, without them we would not be able to run such a great competition! We saw som...e very close competition in last weeks Semi Finals some very close games and awesome football played by all, I am blown away by the talent showcased out on the fields! We sadly say goodbye to the follow teams and thank you all for competing in this years season! 14.01.2022 Good Morning everyone, Nominations are now open for the Junior State Cup 2021 which will be held next year in Coffs Harbour for Under 12’s to 17’s. The tournament will be held over 3 days on Friday 12th, Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th February 2021. The Cost for registration is $90 per player + cost of uniforms = $180. ... Nominations and uniform orders close on Friday the 20th of November. Full payment will be required prior to this date! There is training involved which would be discussed further with your coaches after team selections. There will be sheets down at the fields this Wednesday for anyone who would be interested in trialing for all the above age groups except for 17 boys and 14 year old girls, trials have been conducted previously for the Nationals and the coaches are happy to go ahead with these teams. We will then be able to see how much interest we have in other age groups and whether we will go ahead and nominate a team! Also depends whether we get Coaches and Managers.... If any parents are interested in coaching a particular age group, please come and see me at the desk or contact me via messenger. Only experienced coaches please apply who have a background with Oz Tag, touch or Rugby League. On Wednesday the 14th of October 2020 at 6.00pm we will be conducting trials for 14 & 15 year old boys and 16 & 17 year old girls. This is the age you are turning next year! You can play up but not down in an age group! Under 13 boys team is also under discussions.

A huge reminder that we need to be social distancing, we only have the capacity on our fields for a certain amount of people! Which is the players therefore unfortunately we need to limit The number of spectators, only a coach and or team delegate should be on the sideline. Otherwise there is a good chance we will be shut down! Covid officers wil...l be walking around next week to make sure everyone is doing the right thing. If you need to come to the desk please be mindful when you are lining up to be 1.5 metres apart! No congregating around the club house this is out of bounds Turn up 15-20 minutes prior to your game to have your name marked off by the ref and leave straight after your game! 11.01.2022 Good morning it has come to my attention that some children were hanging outside the leagues club last week and jumping on the tables! Please be reminded that this area is out of bounds and is not a playground, people need to eat off these tables and anything damaged will need to be paid for! No children are allowed in or around the club house at all unless they are with a supervising adult or they need to be marked off before their game. Please be reminded if you need to use the club amenities you will need to sign the book at front reception before entering for Covid Tracing. Toilets are also opened in the Comets block please also be respectful of their club and premises.

09.01.2022 Junior Australian Championships Cancelled 18 Aug 2020 Junior Australian Championships Today, the NSW Government have released further public health recommendations to community sport which impact on sports running representative competitions. ‘Sports are to cease activities that result in the mixing of participants and staff from different regions, eg. By ceasing zone, regional or state championships or competitions.’... NSW Government Public Health Recommendation As a result, Australian Oztag has to cancel the 2020 Junior Australian Championships. The new restrictions have been implemented for the next 6 weeks & then to be further reviewed. With this uncertainty AO has made the decision to completely cancel the event rather than postpone. The timing of this decision is before uniform cut-off therefore families are not placed with any financial burden. Senior State Championships The SSC is currently scheduled 4 weeks after the review giving us time to hold off on any immediate decision. The SSC is different to the juniors as players have already received their uniforms and paid registration. Because players have been training for several months & are ready to play, it is AO’s intention to do everything it can to play this tournament. AO will continually monitor Governments decisions and inform players asap. City v Country The Junior City v Country are in a similar position to the SSC players having paid registration and received their uniforms. They are ready to play and the tournament is now scheduled for Sunday 15th November. Therefore, allowing plenty of time for the governments review before a definitive decision is needed by AO. In the meantime tossing up other options like playing this Friday, next Wednesday, running it next year when schools back or having a presentation tomorrow and the teams with the highest points on the table and or for and against would we awarded the win. Will be difficult this ti...me of year as a lot of people planning to go away etc. I will endeavor to contact team delegates tonight for their thoughts and in their in put.
