17.01.2022 Sites of Transformation: David Tucker opens tomorrow alongside the Robert & Janice Hunter Collection Part II. Familiar yet foreign, fleshy yet mechanical, David Tucker’s latest body of work Sites of Transformation traverses the fine line between the natural and the constructed through the medium of clay. His sculptural works reference the body, nature and the processes that all living things participate in consumption, production, and ultimately, transformation. David has l...ived in Dundurrabin for over 40 years, and is a self-taught artist. He works with a number of materials including wax cast to bronze, cast polyurethane and wood. Introduced to clay about 20 years ago, he found the direct contact between hands and clay a necessary shift in his practice. This exhibition showcases David’s talent with clay, offering an intriguing collection of ceramic forms. See more
