17.01.2022 Today we made a big announcement. As of 2018, RYI is no more. Instead, we change our name into ROCK Sydney International. The reason behind the decision is we b...elieve that as a church, we are called to be a blessing to a city where we are. We do not want limit our audiences to ‘youth’ but we want to carry the message of the gospel to people from every tribe, nation and tongue. Christ did not die to save Indonesian only. Christ died to create a holy nation that consist of people from every race. Our phrase for ROCK Sydney International is Growing deep in the gospel & Reaching wide with the gospel. We will not compromise the depth of the gospel but we will also do whatever we can to take the message of the gospel as wide as possible. We will not compromise one over the other. We will continue to live in the tension between the two. As we do so, there will be many trial and error. Something will work and some won't. We will experience success but we will also experience failure. When we experience success, praise God for it and we will continue to make it better. When we experience failure, praise God for it and we will do our best to learn from our failures. That is how our 2018 will look like. There will be many bumpy roads ahead of us. But we know the grace of God is more than sufficient for us. We have been entrusted with the greatest message in the universe and we will do everything we can to grow deep in the message and taking the message as wide as we possibly can. For every failures we make, his grace will sustain us. For every success we experience, his grace will be praised.
