Our order for today: Well take a coffee in bed thanks, a sleep in the pancakes with strawberries + cream (yes still in bed...duh...keep up please) an un-timed shower (heck we might even wash our hair AND shave our legs!)... a family walk with no quabbling (mother nature that means well be ordering a dose of sunshine and birds singing too thankyou) a quiet afternoon playing Scattegories together with a yummy platter and glass (cough bottle ) of vino ~ Are we forgetting anything Mums? 25.01.2022 Instead of trying to find that elusive work life balance, we should be bringing more life to our work. Something that looks a little like this ~ This amazing foursome right here are the people behind the earth loving plumbing business Eyre Eco Plumbing, taken at the recent brand shoot we did for them. Its at Eyre Eco Plumbing that sustainable practices and real handshakes come first. From there, all four of them pack up their gorgeous Frankie the Caravan and head off to... all the sandy beaches and pristine national parks that Eyre Peninsula has to offer. Exploring and getting off the beaten track is their passion and something they have prioritised as a family. And we love them for it! 23.01.2022 We haven’t done an introduction of ourselves in a while, so we thought we’d re-introduce ourselves in case we haven’t met yet... I’m Jess and along with Lauren, I am the co-Managing Director of Cohere Creative and the go-to Web & Graphic Designer for amazing peeps in the wellness / lifestyle industry who want up-level their branding and online presence. Here are some random facts about me : ~ I’m an Australia Day baby - born on January 26th! I’ve always loved having a ...Public Holiday for my birthday! ~ I grew up in Port Lincoln and was blessed with a wonderful childhood full of cubby-house making, summer’s camping at the beach and lots of imaginative play with my 2 sisters. ~ In year 12 I received a perfect score for Marine Biology of all things not Art or Design! ~ I love doing life with my wonderful husband and 2 tween-agers ~ I’m half creative, half nerd - I love organising things and creating systems that work. Recently I’ve even found myself getting excited about learning code! What on earth? ~ One of my first jobs was at an Adelaide based marketing firm ‘Jarvis Marketing' under the directorship of the late Jim Jarvis (ex Lord Mayor of Adelaide!). Jim was right at the very end of his career at the time... he never really embraced the concept of emailing - rather he used hand write little notes and draw cartoons to encourage and inspire his team! He used to call me ‘Jessography’ because of my love for typography! So if you ever want to really annoy me just try using awful fonts like Comic Sans or Papyrus!! ~ Well, that’s enough about me. I’d love to know what you can relate to?

23.01.2022 SHOWCASE // We are so excited to introduce to you the new and improved Health on Track with Jan the rustic veggie patch...the magical path oh please! ~ Earlier last month we had the privilege of helping this lovely lady create some online magic, making her website not only as beautiful as her but a true representation of what her business stands for. ~ Jan owns and operates Health on Track - a gut health and weight loss program. When we sat down with Jan we were instant...ly captivated by her passion for gut health and nutrition. It is these two values that acted as our inspiration for her digital and design overhaul. ~ We realised early last year that our clients really enjoyed and were essentially craving more support, consulting and strategy assistance so we built more of these hours into all of our Overhaul Packages (which is fast becoming one of our favourite parts of the job!). With Jan we used these sessions to unpack and deep dive further into her values, working to ensure her new online presence appropriately represented them. ~ As a result we helped Jan to tweak her business name and create a new branding palette with logo and style guide. The branding was elevated further through a gorgeous on brand photoshoot to visually communicate her brand messages of fresh & healthy (amazing rustic shoot location thanks to @kernillahouse too! ) We honed in on her brand messaging further, creating some word magic alongside our whiz bang copywriter @theedgeau. We then built in to her website an automated email marketing sales funnel for lead generation and tied it all up with some resource articles - all alongside functional and beautiful design! 22.01.2022 Holy moly this little girl is ONE // One year of sleepless nights, one year of becoming exceptionally great at doing things with one hand, one year of going through can of dry shampoo a day, a one year of navigating the balancing act of motherhood and working (thank goodness Ive teamed up with @jessscholz whos been there, done that and can show me the ropes) and one year full of the best 365 days Ive ever known. clich but gosh were glad you chose us Allie Maxfield! 18.01.2022 Hard truth eh? Bet you can believe it though right? // In this day and age where technology rules the roost, the humongous amount of data we have to deal with each day as small business owners equates to alot of wasted, overwhelming, frustrating time simply searching through it all! And this becomes all the more tedious when the information is scattered across various folders, files, platforms, devices etc etc! ~ Do you know the kind of havoc that this wreaks on your mental w...ellbeing? Spoiler...its not great. And how about to your business productivity and quality of work? Spoiler...not great either An unorganised business backend leaves us feeling anxious, helpless and overwhelmed and the wasted time searching for it all = less time actually working. ~ Therefore using a system to manage all this digital clutter is indispensable (in our opinions!) to ensure the smooth functioning of a business. 18.01.2022 Watch out...we're about to cowboy you on this magical Monday...Yeeeeha for some actual Spring weather here in SA! ~ Right now I'm sitting here looking out my windows across the beautiful blue sky and down to the blue calm waters of Boston Bay and township of Port Lincoln and thought there was truly no better photograph to share right now than this one right here ~ Meet Jasmine, a recent client and now new friend of ours who we helped just launch her business @earthange...l.jasmine - Jasmine is a visionary artist and an adventurous earthy soul where every piece is created by hand with love from the heart. ~ This photo is one of our favourites from her brand shoot with @amyrowsellphotography...we ventured up to Brinkworth Reserve as there was a large area of yakkas that Jasmine often sits amongst to paint and/or feel inspired. 17.01.2022 Ahh...get out of my brain! // Such a weird sentence but weve found we actually say this to each other on the regular (lovingly of course)! The amount of times we think or say the exact same thing is actually a bit spooky! ~ Its great though because it pretty much means were almost always on the same wavelength, super handy when you run a business together! The argument though is are we this way because: ~ A: Were both creative Aquarians with similar values and sense o...f aesthetic or, B: Because weve systemised and templated so many aspects of our business that functioning together like a #dreamteam just flows so naturally... ~ Hmm an interesting thought In all honesty, it is probably a bit of both, but we can tell you now.our streamlined, organised and decluttered business backend definitely, 100% no doubt about it definitely helps! By knowing where everything is and goes, by knowing what step needs to be done next, by being able to produce the quality of work we want to because were not bogged down by admin tasks means things just flow. And that means our relationship as business partners just flows too. Win win. ~ Best thing? Does it look daggy? Is your on hold message outdated? Do your emails look professional? Follow the entire customer journey and see if there are areas where you could use a refresh or fine tuning. 12.01.2022 Is the 5 day working week in the office a thing of the past? // We came across an article recently that found since the pandemic, 47% of those working remotely at the moment, say that once things return to normal, their ideal arrangement would be to continue working from home part time, 40% were happy to work from home everyday and only 14% were keen to return to the office every day. ~ I mean as workers from home for the past decade +, we think it makes sense. Now that we ...all use technology to work which can be accessed almost anywhere in the world (ahem...were working on Bali Julys for Cohere at the moment ) why do we need to spend time commuting and rushing only to sit in a space full of people that will likely just distract you!? Plus...the spaces are almost never as nice as the spaces weve carved out for ourselves at home!!! ~ One positive that we do miss from our days in an office is of course the human interaction...which is why we make sure to do alot of these coffee catch ups each week! ~ And productivity? Well in our minds there is no debate...work at home is time for focused work, where work in the office (or in our case, on each others couches with a cuppa) is for innovative work, meetings and collaborative work. 09.01.2022 Heads up: you can create that swoon worthy, cohesive, on brand insta feed yourself! All it needs is a bit of planning and a sprinkle of some key ingredients. ~ Like: Be consistent with colours and fonts; Choose 3 colours maximum and 2-3 fonts and STICK TO THEM AND THEM ONLY!... Create template designs; make 3 template designs that you can change the text up easily, saves you time and ticks the cohesive factor! Professional brand photography; you cannot, we repeat, you cannot get away with average iPhone snaps. If you want to appear professional online, you gotta get the professional shots! (and remember when shooting, to wear and choose locations in the 3 brand colours you have previously selected). Other photos; you can still use your iPhone photos, in fact we recommend it!
