Children are free to wear something fun & ‘Christmassy’ It could be dressing up as Santa, Mrs Claus, an angel, present, wearing a Christmas t shirt, santa/elf hat, antlers or casual with simply a piece of tinsel or decoration. The options are absolutely endless! 01.01.2022 STEAM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Maths. Today Grade 2/3 were given a STEAM challenge. In pairs or small groups they had to firstly create a Christmas elf using paper. The elf was then popped up on the Staffroom railings but had no way of getting down. The children had to then design a zip line that could transport him to the ground using materials such as string, rubber bands, cups, pipe cleaners, tape, balloons, plasticine etc. Whatever they chose! After writing a procedure they tested it and made modifications if necessary. They presented & discussed their plans to their classmates & then the demonstrations began
