24.01.2022 We would be delighted if you would like to join us for our Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 8th September at 6.30pm and/or to hear our speaker Mary OBrien at 7.30pm. The meeting will be held online via Zoom. 7.30pm Speaker: Mary OBrien Are you bogged, mate?... Mary OBrien is a rural Queenslander who runs workshops for country blokes about mental health and that mongrel black dog. We are very lucky that she has agreed to speak at our AGM via Zoom. (And we hope to bring her to Cohuna post-lockdown.) when I see country blokes facing challenges like never before, I need to say something because I know none of them will. Im talking about rural mens mental health and more specifically, rural male suicide. Yes, that mongrel black dog that sneaks in when you least expect it, grabs all of your rational thoughts, buries them somewhere you cant find them, and without you or those close to you noticing, it gradually pulls you into a hole, a bog hole. You may join the meeting at 6.30 or 7.30 Please RSVP to 5456 4666 or [email protected] A link will be sent to you for the Zoom meeting https://youtu.be/TqR9cH4XDHw

14.01.2022 Do you have an creative idea to bring more art to our town? Residents are encouraged to have their say on what key themes they would like featured in the Gannawarra Arts Trail. Council has engaged ‘Person Place Thing’ to develop this important strategic planning project, which aims to showcase art in the Gannawarra.... To assist with this process, residents can complete a nine-question survey, available via Council's website until Sunday, 22 November, which asks ideas and locations residents may like see considered. The survey also asks what stories, people or past events that the proposed trail could profile, as well as what the qualities of an art trial for the Gannawarra region would be. All feedback will assist with the development of the Gannawarra Arts Trail, which will support Council and the community in seeking future major arts funding to develop art works, develop a coordinated tourist trail and ensure that our creative community is embraced and supported in developing these works. To complete the survey, please click the link below https://www.gannawarra.vic.gov.au//Have-your-say-on-the-Ga
