25.01.2022 End of Term disco was a huge hit with students and siblings. Look closely and you may see a few parents joining in and enjoying the night. Thank you Mrs O'Gorman.
25.01.2022 CORRIDOR ANNOUNCEMENT AusNet has today announced a narrowed down corridor within the area of Interest. This corridor clearly demonstrates AusNet’s comprehensiv...e dismissal of feedback provided by the community throughout the latter half of 2020 by ignoring the identified issues. We are absolutely devastated by this announcement, this project impacts our lives, our livelihoods and our future.. it’s not just a line on a map. We recognise that this planned project is having a significantly detrimental impact on many people’s wellbeing, so please take time to check in with family, friends and neighbours. Reach out to us, friends and neighbours if you need support. Ultimately the State Government has to approve this project and we need to continue our fight. Dan Andrews needs to remember there is an election next year and the voters of Ballarat, Bacchus Marsh, Ballan, Melton and surrounds will punish this government. PLEASE- Ring, email or post a comment on their Facebook pages and let them know exactly how this project will directly impact on you. 23.01.2022 Hi All, The decision has been made to postpone the delivery of cookie dough orders. Due to restrictions with the COVID -19 lock down we are cannot be sure that all people will be able to receive their orders. All tubs of cookie dough need to be kept frozen. We have almost 500 tubs ordered and cannot provide the space for orders that we can not deliver. I thank you for your cooperation in this matter. Moira Ross

17.01.2022 Will this be your family?
16.01.2022 Good Morning All, As you would be aware, the Victorian Government yesterday made a series of significant announcements about the introduction of new measures across metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire to reduce the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). It is important to note that these new announcements apply only to schools in metropolitan Melbourne Please be advised that Coimadai PS will commence Term 3 on Monday the 13th of July as previously planned.... All students will be able to attend, regardless of where you live. Be assured that as a school we will continue to enforce safe hygiene practices. These practices include limiting people into our school, the use of hand sanitizer, cleaning our school thoroughly each day, conducting assemblies using Zoom, cleaning resources after each use and where possible social distancing. I will notify all families if this arrangement changes. Continue to enjoy the remaining days left of the holidays and I will see you all on Monday. Moira Ross Principal
16.01.2022 Footy Day - Go the Mighty Cats!
15.01.2022 100 days of school for 2020. This was a special day for our Prep students and they celebrated in style. Lots of counting to 100, causal clothes, party hats and of course a special lunch for all. Congratulations Miss Tabone and all the Prep students on reaching this wonderful milestone in your Prep year. A huge thank you to all the parents involved for putting together a special lunch for the preps to enjoy! The staff were overwhelemed with your genorosity that was extended to us. Our staff room was filled with delicous treats and cakes for lunch.
14.01.2022 Please join in the fight against powerlines. 500 voltage powerlines with 85 meter tower are proposed. These will be built beside our school and will travel over Lake Merrimu. We ask that everyone logs onto the website westvictnp.com.au and have your say......... SAY NO!
13.01.2022 RYTHM BALL! Easy game where all you need is a partner and a ball. Hit the ball with an open hand, anyone can grab the ball at any time, when your opponent grabs... the ball your opponent needs to hit ground with a fist, if you don’t or if you’re out of rhythm the other person gets a point. Make sure to find a rhythm and speed that works for age of opponent. A big thanks to @jeff.blue.tape for this one. He’s got tons of great stuff, check him out. @mcalhoun724 has been on a roll lately, lot of fun, give it a try Follow on INSTAGRAM @calhounskidfitchallenge . #reactiongame #rhythm #peathome #focusgame #concentration #focus #peteachersofinstagram #peteachers #brainbreak #brainbreaks #handeyecoordination See more
13.01.2022 Please take a close look at the map. The power lines could be right next to our school. NOW is the time to register your protest.
13.01.2022 This is the proposed route Ausnet wish to take. Build towers and cross Lake Merrimu, continue down Russells Road to Camersons Road. WE JUST HAPPEN TO BE RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE! 85 metre high transmission towers 50 m from the school.
12.01.2022 We made an electrical transmission tower at school today. It stretched from the end of the oval to the metal playground. It has a 20 meter base and is 75 meters high.
11.01.2022 Breaking News - School returns to normal for all students tomorrow. Life Education will be visiting so remember to return your permission slips and money.

Should this image appear in any of your feeds SCROLL past. Please advise everyone else do to do the same. ... We strongly recommend keeping children offline today if possible, and heavily supervise all social media interactions until this content is removed. 10.01.2022 Dear parents, carers, students and staff Earlier today, the Victorian Government announced that, on the advice of the Victorian Chief Health Officer, regional and rural Victoria will move to Stage 3 restrictions and metropolitan Melbourne will move to Stage 4 restrictions to slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). These requirements apply to all schools across the government, Catholic and independent sectors and across all metropolitan Melbourne and rural and regional Vict...oria. The changes to schools’ operations will come into effect from Wednesday 5 August, following a student free day on Tuesday 4 August, and are likely to apply until the end of Term 3. As outlined in the Chief Health Officer’s advice on Friday, schools remain safe places for staff and students but these steps are critical measures to reduce the movement of students and families across the state. There are implications for our school, and for families in our school community. A summary of what the changes mean for schools is below. RURAL AND REGIONAL VICTORIA PREP TO YEAR 10 Prep to Year 10 students will move to remote and flexible learning. On-site supervision in rural and regional Victoria will be available to: o Children whose parents cannot work from home o Vulnerable children o Any child with a disability TIMELINE Monday 3 August will be a ‘normal’ day of school under current arrangements, with students attending on site learning asked to take all their necessary learning materials home. Tuesday 4 August will be a student-free day across Victoria to enable teachers, especially in rural and regional Victoria, to prepare for flexible and remote learning. Wednesday 5 August will be the first day of new arrangements for schools across Victoria This is a day ahead of the statewide introduction of the Stage 3 restrictions in rural and regional Victoria, but will provide for a smooth transition and will enable as much continuity of learning as possible. STAFFING Schools will ensure sufficient staff are available for necessary on site supervision. Staff not required for on site supervision will work from home. I will provide an update soon about arrangements for remote and flexible learning at our school. Thank you for your understanding and support. Moira Ross
