25.01.2022 You just can beat a good testimonial especially when it’s based on a excellent experience. Recently one of our customers had the task of disposing of her late husbands extensive Colonial coin collection. Not being a coin collector her self but knowing how much time, passion and money went into the collection, she wanted advise on the alternative paths to take and which one would deliver the best outcome. A cash settlement was discussed however rat...her than taking the money and moving on we decided to consign the complete collection at a specialist auction house. Well the result exceeded her expectations and ours , partly due to the quality of material and partly due to selecting the right auction house. After commissions the return to the customer was well over 30% more than just a straight sale . Her words are I’m relieved and delighted by how it’s all evolved , I’m certainly grateful for the experience and wisdom with the decision to auction So if your looking to sell an unwanted collection or need advise on the best alternatives available to you for the best outcomes then drop us a line for a confidential obligation free discussion. 24.01.2022 This Sydney International Exhibition bronze medal dates from 1879. The Exhibition was a significant landmark in the history of the NSW colony marking the states sense of achievement, it was an honour to participate and exhibit produce and crafts, and a considerable accomplishment to win a prize. The exhibition ran from September 1879 to April 1880 , at the closing of the ceremony it was reported that 1,022,000 visitors had attended and viewed over 14,000 exhibits from over tw...enty kingdoms , republics and colonies. Measuring 75 mm in diameter and 7 mm deep, this Bronze Medal was made in England by JS and AB Wyon. This particular example remains unissued and therefore blank on the reverse. The good bit, with eBay now offering Afterpay, medals like this are in reach of all collectors with this new payment option available on eBay. To view this lot or the 100s of other predecimal and colonial coins and banknotes on offer just check out our eBay store @ coincollectandtrade or contact us for more information at [email protected] More information on this item is available at eHive.com #numasmaticitem#coins#medals#medallions#colonialaustralia#instergram#bronzemedals#sydneyexhibitionmedal#coincollecting See more

15.01.2022 Just in for collectors of banknote bundles . A rare lot of 100 x UNC Polymer 1988 Bicentennial Australian $10 notes. Interesting these were originally obtained by a bank manager in the 80’s and put away and have not been separated, however there are 18 notes which have been replaced , most probably spoilt during the printing process as these notes are amongst the first issues in Polymer for Australia. Serial numbers AB 31088653 to AB 31088769 Expressions of interest are being sought for this rare bundle . 02.01.2022 It’s business as unusual. In these trying times Coin Collect and Trade have introduced several measures to keep our staff and customers safe. We are still conducting home visits, however these will be made in open air environments and respecting the personal distance requirements with all payments being made by funds transfers (no cash payments) this service is especially for people who do not have internet access. In an attempt to reduce personal contact we would like to off...er our online service option using electronic images and providing a quote via on line or phone then payment via EFT to reduce cash handling. Collections can be made by leaving your items at the door again to reduce contact. Having said this we are actively looking for 1966 Round 50 cent pieces to satisfy customer demand so if you have a quantity put aside for a rainy day then it may be a good opportunity to take advantage of demand. Again we will endeavour to make the transaction as safe and smooth as possible. We would like to thank all our customers past and future for their understanding and support and also hope you and your stay safe and well as the world changes with today’s challenges. For enquires please email [email protected] All the very best to you Chris and Nic See more
