17.01.2022 Happy New Year to all our followers! The mint wasted no time in releasing some new coins for us to gawk at - so join us for a look at them!

16.01.2022 Exciting times: we just got a huge haul of graded coins in - stay tuned for a brand new section on our website dedicated to these stunning coins, encapsulated and professionally graded by PCGS.

15.01.2022 Th UK is marking 50 years since 'Decimal Day' - where the country switched over to decimal currency - with a newly designed 50p. Featuring a collage of pre-decimal coin design elements, it's available in a range of formats, including silver and gold proofs. It also features in the 2021 mint sets released earlier this month. 06.01.2022 Did you know that on this day in 1969 - the UK introduced the 50p coin, to replace the 10 Shilling note? The shape of the coin was unique for its time - the designers came up with a mathematical shape that is not round, but still remains the same width, no matter how you rotate it. This was a requirement to ensure that it remained compatible with coin rolling and other machinery.

03.01.2022 Here's something rather different. A two-part coin from Lithuania that celebrates gender equality. This silver proof coin comes in two sections. Not two coins - but literally two halves to a single coin. By having the country name on one part, and the year and denomination on the other - this coin only holds legal tender status when both parts are together. A perfect analogy to gender equality. Whilst we only just heard about it - it's not gone un-noticed by the coin world, and was recently nominated in the Most Innovative category of the Coin of the Year Awards for 2021.

01.01.2022 Today, at 11am, on the 11/11 is a time to remember our fallen war heroes, and all those that put their lives on the line for our way of life. Whilst it's important for everyone to never forget, here in the world of coin collecting, we find it particularly relevant, given how many amazing coins have been (and continue to be) created to commemorate these brave men and women. (PS - We're not late - we're just based in QLD )
