25.01.2022 Good evening Kookas family, Last week we started the expression of interest process for our 2020/2021 Squad Coaches. As mentioned in the previous post, the next step is to start and get our players registered. 2020 is like nothing we have experienced before. Like other community and representative sports, the upcoming Kookas season will look very different. With so much uncertainty, and without having any firm details or a timeline around a return, this process is only to ge...t players registered to a database in preparation for getting approval for tryouts to take place. At this stage, we are working towards tryouts taking place in late September. Given the current situation and our priority for player and community safety, any confirmation of trial dates will not be made until the Committee deems it appropriate to return playing. 17.01.2022 CBL Men’s Coach Announcement Great news for our CBL men’s team with last seasons South West All Stars Nathan Lemke and Jordan Lingard comitting to leading the Kookas again in the upcoming season starting in October. 13.01.2022 Registrations are now open for the Colac Junior Basketball Tournament for 2021. Please note that all coaching roles will be finalised in the near future. We are still waiting for restrictions to ease and approval to hit the court for tryouts. 05.01.2022 Summer Competition Update As you may remember from an earlier post, we were working towards the Junior Summer Competition kicking off next week. Unfortunately, due to current restrictions, competition cannot commence as we are still waiting for more information and clarity on the Return to Play Guidelines. Obviously this situation is disappointing, but we are hopeful that in the coming weeks we will be able to confirm a start date and further details on what the upcoming season will look like.

03.01.2022 COLAC KOOKAS CBL SEASON 2020/2021 We are now seeking expressions of interest for both male and female athletes that are interested in joining the Colac Kookas CBL program for Season 2020/2021. All intending players must complete the registration form below so that we can get our teams finalised for the upcoming season.... 02.01.2022 With the prospect of basketball returning soon to our courts, the Victorian Government has a grants program that will assist clubs. The grant is for $1,000 and must be applied online. This money may be used to assist members to pay fees or assist as needed. Times are tough for many and this is an opportunity for clubs. We suggest to all clubs to apply for the grants of $1,000.
