19.01.2022 With most of our weekend sporting activities put on hold, weve got a competition for all of our followers. Over the next few weeks/months well post the occasional trivia question. Question 1: In the last 50years of A Grade/Division 1 cricket, 10 clubs have won the premiership. (Alvie, Apollo Bay, City United, Cobden, Colac, Colac West, Irrewarra, Irrewillipe, Stoneyford and Warrion). Rank these teams in order from most - least premierships won in the last 50 years (Division 1 only)...note some clubs have won the same amount!

Some good news, the Victorian Government has extended the closing date for its Community Sport Sector Short-term Survival Package meaning community cricket clubs and associations have more time to submit an applications for the following funding buckets: Community Sport Associations/Leagues Up to $15,000 Community Sporting Clubs Up to $1,000... To date, around 200 cricket clubs have applied for the $1,000 grant with the majority of those clubs either receiving their $1,000 grant already, or will receive it in the next week. But this only represents around 20% of our community cricket clubs in Victoria. Other board members to be re-elected are Nick Hay (Vice-President), Mark Jackson (Treasurer), Dave Treweek (Secretary) plus a re-elected committee consisting of Rob Oborne, Gary Boyd, Sam Cardinal and Jarryd Cranwell.
