19.01.2022 The Colac Players have a few big weeks coming up, as we get into the swing of 2020. First up, we are thrilled to announce our first show for 2020 will be the comedy Sylvia, by AR Gurney. We have a reading and auditions coming up in the next fortnight, so if you want to be involved on stage or behind the scenes, come along or contact us. Sylvia is about married couple Greg and Kate, who have moved into a city apartment after years in the suburbs. Greg brings home a dog he foun...d in the parkor that has found himbearing only the name Sylvia on her name tag. A street-smart mixture of Lab and poodle, Sylvia becomes a major bone of contention between husband and wife. She offers Greg an escape from the frustrations of his job and the unknowns of middle age. To Kate, Sylvia becomes a rival for affection. And Sylvia thinks Kate just doesnt understand the relationship between man and dog. Sylvia was written by playwright AR Gurney, who was also the man behind the Colac Players recent show Love Letters. Our information session and play reading is on next Tuesday, February 18 at 7.30pm at The Players Shed. Auditions are by appointment on Sunday, February 23 from 1pm.
