25.01.2022 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone. Hope you are having a fantastic day. Please be safe. Hoping to see you all soon. Santa made his usual visit Xmas Eve to Colbo. Did you see him? He was in front of the shop in the famous T Model. Thank you Santa.

23.01.2022 Colbinabbin will soon join the silo art trail. It's one of a number of community-based projects announced today.

21.01.2022 Day 4 and day 5 Silo Art Painting. Pretty impressive. Can’t wait to see the finished train.

21.01.2022 *We kindly request that you do not visit the Colbinabbin Silo Art viewing platform whilst COVID-19 Stage 3 restrictions are in place. The second last silo to be... painted by our artist Tim Bowtell is now well underway - introducing the first Colbinabbin CFA Fire Truck LU 600! In 1947 the CFA started to build its own trucks, known as Small Town Units. The first tanker was based on an Austin Series 1 truck chassis and fitted with a 1,300 litre water tank. The original Colbinabbin Fire Truck LU 600 is on display at the Fire Services Museum of Victoria, located at the former Eastern Hill Fire Station, 39 Gisborne St, East Melbourne.

17.01.2022 It looks like a bit of mining exploration is about to happen in our community. About 429km2. Advertised in the sun on 06/02/2019. Objections need to be in by 26/02/2019.

16.01.2022 ARTIST APPOINTED The Colbinabbin Silo Art Project Team is very pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Tim Bowtell to paint the Colbinabbin Silos as part of t...he Pick My Project initiative. After a long and arduous process, the Project Team and, in accordance with the government guidelines it has been entrusted, is pleased to say that Tim meets all the relevant criteria. As a Victorian, who lives in rural north-eastern Victoria, Tim is excited by the canvas of the Colbinabbin Silo, the broad spread of concrete and steel silos combined with the position of the viewing area and the township. The Project Team envisages this will be one of the greatest artworks that the Silo Art Trial is yet to see with what is now known locally as Lot 38. The setting provides a stunning backdrop for the Silos, combined with the unique community spirit of Colbinabbin, that is second to none, that will also be reflected in the artwork. Whilst the concept of the artwork is in its infancy, the Project Team is sure that no one will be disappointed with the result that will resonate with one and all. Tim will be visiting Colbinabbin on Saturday 1st of June when the Historical Society will be exhibiting their collection of Historical material. There will be an opportunity all to come and meet Tim and his partner Kylie and family. More details to follow. As the face of the Silos to be painted are situated on the South, the artwork cannot now be completed until Autumn 2020, taking into account any weather impediments. There will be plenty of opportunity for the local community to further engage with this project. Ms Mary Ann Morgan Project Chair

13.01.2022 Hi all, Normally the Weppner Family would have their cake stall out the front of the shop with their Tin Rattlers busy collecting for the Good Friday Appeal. As we know this year is different. They have created a virtual Tin-shake. The link is below. We also have a Tin in the Shop if anyone wants to donate to this good cause. https://fundraising.virtualtinshake.com/colbinabbin
