24.01.2022 MEDIA MESSAGES - Holiday rentals, house sharing sites, licensed hotels, caravan parks, etc April 2020... We understand everyone’s frustrations at this time, with many restrictions limiting what individuals, families and businesses can do right now. The current orders as outlined by the NSW Premier and the NSW Health Minister state that a person MUST have a REASONABLE EXCUSE to leave their home at this time. These rules are in place to protect millions of people across the state. Holidays and travel are NOT ESSENTIAL. We appreciate the pressures many businesses in the tourism industry are facing holiday rentals, licensed hotels and accommodation providers, caravan parks, tourism operators under the current NSW Public Health Act (2010) regulations, we cannot be encouraging people to visit our popular locations and destinations. The safest thing every person in the state can do right now is STAY PUT. As operators in this space, we are urging you to work with us as we all need to work together to spread this message unfortunately at the moment, we cannot be pleading with the public to visit Griffith, Leeton, Narrandera, Darlington Point or any of the popular camping locations spread right across the Murrumbidgee Police District. Members of the public should NOT be visiting their holiday home down the coast, or travelling to visit family. You should not be camping in our parks or socialising at our beaches. All of these rules are in place to protect the health and safety of not just travellers, but residents in our smaller communities. An influx of visitors could put our health systems under pressure, whilst potentially transferring the virus from one part of the state to another. This is also relevant to the thousands of visitors and backpackers that are currently in NSW. We cannot have additional persons migrating to parts of Southern NSW, the safest thing at the moment is to STAY WHERE YOU ARE. The risks greatly outweigh the benefits, and it is now law to STAY PUT. This is about everyone’s actions everyone has to band together to slow the spread of COVID-19. Every industry, every family, every person. If you have a holiday booked in for this Easter break cancel it. If you are an accommodation operator you need to tell the public that visitors aren’t welcome. We know this is hard, especially after the heartbreaking bushfire season and ongoing drought impacting many of our holiday destinations. But this is something every person has to do everyone needs to do their part.

01.01.2022 Here is a selection of some of my pics from my time so far at Coleambally Caravan Park and nearby region. Definitely not boring, and quite entertaining at times and picturesque as well.

01.01.2022 G'day everyone... I need to let you all know about the hidden gem that is Coleambally Caravan Park... It has recently changed hands and things are looking great... for a very successful future here. It is finally open for business again for tourists. Suz and Tracey have put much time and effort into making a great plot of land into a much better place for travellers to stay. I was passing through this region when the Covid19 shut-downs took place. My sister recommended Coleambally to me as a friendly, safe place to stay. I am an ex soldier and Registered Nurse, and have been permanently travelling and living in my caravan. I was so pleasantly surprised with the way I have been treated here. As I have said earlier, Suz and Tracey have been working so hard to convert the old run-down park into a more comfortable and enjoyable place to stay. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay at a great price, and not necessarily looking for the big corporate park palava, then the Coleambally Caravan Park is a place that you must stay. I thought that it was a bit of boring country after experiencing the coastlines and Snowys, etc, but it was amazing as I got to finally do some day trips. The wide plains and big skies are great go take in the sunrises and sunsets. There are several other country towns to visit as well. During the time I have been here sheltered from Covid19, I have had so many laughs with locals. I have got into gym sessions as Suz is also a qualified Personal Trainer. I have escaped the depression of lockdown, getting fitter and feeling secure in the knowledge that I am in a safe place of the country, far from the madness of riots over toilet paper and more.

01.01.2022 A huge THANKYOU to JK Plumbing and Drainage Service for installing new toilet systems and upgrading the plumbing to Coleambally Caravan Park amenities. Another upgrade completed.

01.01.2022 Due to some confusion from our previous post. We would like to make it clear that we are still open to essential workers who are coming to our community to work. We are also open to people looking for permanent accommodation (conditions apply). We will not be taking in overnight travellers until further notice. We are taking all necessary precautions to protect those already in our park and the community.
