25.01.2022 Did you spot the Old Coogee Hotel in the West Australian over the weekend? Colgan Industries led the restorations in collaboration with the State Heritage Office in what was a very successful project!

24.01.2022 Earlier this year we completed restoration works at the Regal Theatre. The works were focused on the refurbishment of the auditorium, replacement of the roof and electrical and air-conditioning upgrades, meeting the conditions of the Heritage Council whilst maintaining the fine acoustic conditions as necessary for the multipurpose theatre. Our team managed to do this on a very tight timeframe of two months!

22.01.2022 This morning we installed the cupola on the top of the MSC Building in Fremantle. The cupola design was based on the original which was removed in 1902. Thanks to everyone involved for your hard work!

18.01.2022 Congratulations to Roan Spence & Matt Taft on their brilliant achievement last night at the Master Builders Apprentice awards 2017. The winner of the most outstanding Direct Indentured Apprentice went to Roan, the runner up when to Matt. Well done guys !!! A big thank you to our great craftsmen who support and nurture our apprentices on a daily basis. The proof is in the pudding!

18.01.2022 A bit of Nostalgia ..... James Mason on the right inspecting the stonework he worked on at All Saints Church , Deansway. Worcester uk. In the back ground is Worcester Cathedral where he spent 10 years working on all facets of the heritage restoration carried out prior to coming to Perth and Joining Colgan Industries . James now manages all our Heritage restoration work in Perth and is a very valid member of our Heritage Team. His passion , knowledge and quality deliverance helps contribute to Colgan Industries development and their competitive edge in the industry ..

18.01.2022 Completed last year, the West Australian Museum heritage buildings were restored by Colgan Industries in the first stage of the New Museum development, scheduled to open in 2020. The project was led by James and Derek from the Colgan team.

13.01.2022 Colgan Industries has had the great pleasure in restoring Chesterfield Inn. Which is the oldest commercial building in the City of Rockingham, and the only 19t...h century hotel remaining in Western Australia. Build in 1855 and first know as the Bush Inn . John Chester purchased the Inn in 1867 and in the 1890s changed the name to Chesterfield Inn. He owed the Inn during its most successful period, hosting our then Premier Sir John Forrest and family. 13.01.2022 We are the Champions..... again . Congratulations Colgans Industries on great team work throughout the year. Incredible evening at the HIA awards. With the master heritage Stonemason James Mason taking the HIA Host Trainer Commendation winner Award Roan Spence taking 4th year apprentice of the year award and Matt Tafe taking the high commendation award for Stonemasonry. Ryan Flynn a finalist in 3rd year Carpentry and joinery award. And the wow factor was the overall winner of the evening taking apprentice of the year award Roan Spence , who is now a finalist in The 2018 Australia of the year awards. Fantastic to see so much skill and talent in one room. Thanks to Stratco, HIA for a fabulous evening .

12.01.2022 Martin Colgan, founder of Colgan Industries, was recently awarded the Judges Award 2016 by the State Heritage Council. A highly-skilled craftsman and builder, Martin Colgan has left a lasting legacy to heritage through his work on many award-winning heritage conservation and adaptation projects across the State. He has shared his passion, skills and expertise with those he has employed, trained and collaborated with over the past 30 years. Martin remains active on the board of Colgan Industries, providing guidance as his family takes the business forward.

10.01.2022 Colgan Industries recently won the Master Builder Association (WA) Best Refurbishment or Renovation: under $10 million - 2016 for the Regal Theatre! A big thanks for our team, Hames Sharley, Baker Theatre Trust/Interstar and the late Ian Hocking for their hard work in ensuring the work was a success! It focused on the refurbishment of the auditorium, replacement of the roof and electrical and air-conditioning upgrades, meeting the conditions of the Heritage Council whilst maintaining the fine acoustic conditions as necessary for the multipurpose theatre. 10.01.2022 How’s this for a new lease of life? Greenwood business Colgan Industries has incorporated a former Joondalup CBD light pole into its heritage restoration projec...t in Roebourne. The project team was in need of an old light pole for its gaoler’s quarters. And that’s where the City - which has progressively been replacing its lighting infrastructure across the Joondalup CBD - stepped in. A few modifications aside, this old pole (pictured) was the perfect size and shape. It’s great to see Joondalup has played a small role in the restoration of the Roebourne Gaol precinct. See more

05.01.2022 The Rottnest Island sea wall is a three-metre high limestone wall built 150 years ago. Colgan Industries worked on this wall to significantly extend its life and preserve the ocean side feature for future generations. #heritagewa
