Because it is closing soon... https://www.colinandsallys.com.au/online-store Delivered straight to your door, with monthly payments. Get on board. Home compostable packaging too! And Victoria-wide delivery.
25.01.2022 What a wonderful feeling to have such excellent people around us. We have a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) model of feeding our community and we have a Covered CSA Share, whereby CSA members contribute a little extra each month, in order to collectively donate our lamb and beef to those who need a feed. This year, this Covered Share has been sent off to Manna Gum Community House and Olivia's Place. An intristic principle of the CSA movement is to help others in one's community; we're walking the talk, collectively. #csamembersareawesome
24.01.2022 David. The Funcle (Fun-Uncle), Colin's younger brother and King of All Puns. Living with us at the farm now and an integral part of our new-found-next-stage resilience as we diversify. Is he amazing with our two kids? Yep. Did he slightly clip the shed with the tractor? Also yes. This is truly a family farm now. Looking forward to sharing more of our resilience projects soon. Will I tease him about this selfie? Also yes. #swashbuckleshot #funcleswhoplow

22.01.2022 The light is changing; brighter. We need that.
21.01.2022 I call them the "farmer's pick". Those potatoes which are too small to sell as chats. We love them.
21.01.2022 Proud moment. Our first 5kg bags of certified organic Dutch Cream potatoes are all bagged up in readiness for our first weekly CSA delivery tomorrow. #csamembersareawesome

17.01.2022 Snowing on the farm!
16.01.2022 The Dutch Cream potato seed stock arrived this afternoon! We'll be planting this week - eek! It is absolutely all hands on deck here but let's face it, it is not particularly difficult to rope children into tasks when knives are involved, right? #thiscouldsavethefarm #wheredoyourspudscomefrom #thisisgettingrealnow
16.01.2022 Lockdown home-schooling with requisite poddy lamb.
15.01.2022 Almost sold out! Over 100 families have signed up for CSA 2021 and there's only a couple of shares left. If you want to support a farming family and want to know where your meat comes from, then purchasing direct from a farmer is the way to go. And Community Supported Agriculture is the ticket amongst the thicket. By purchasing a CSA share, you are assured of your ethically-produced beef, lamb and potatoes for the year, and we are freed up to spend more time farming and with ...family. It also helps you budget as you can pay monthly for your organic, grass-fed meat. Which is delivered straight to your door, in compostable packaging. Perhaps tag a friend to let them know about the CSA program or share this around to get the word out! https://www.colinandsallys.com.au/online-store
14.01.2022 Boy in hay with calf. #animalwhisperer

Certified organic, grass-fed, delivered straight to your door in home compostable packaging. Monthly payment schedule starting January 2021. Get your meat sorted for the year ahead. Make this happy farmer even happier (and he's pretty happy as it is): https://www.colinandsallys.com.au/online-store
12.01.2022 Lambing is on. A twin, from a younger ewe, we have brought this voracious little one in to be bottle-fed. And now Colin has a shadow wherever he goes!
12.01.2022 ...and that's why we do what we do. We farm...to feed. Gorgeous CSA members. They just "get it".
12.01.2022 How's lockdown2 going at your place? Me? Oh, um...
12.01.2022 End of the day. Under the apricot tree. Just finished the first butchery day of the year for our gorgeous CSA members. Butchery days always end with a "Butcher's Tea" for dinner, with the kids taste testing the sausages made today. #itlooksidyllicbuttherearefightingsiblingsinthedistance
11.01.2022 Saturdays. The only day of the week I'm not in front of a computer. So I make it count. I plan, I prep, I cook. Laska paste was on the list today, so we eat well during the week. Homemade goodness seeing us through these days.
11.01.2022 Homeschooling, farm-style. One 9-year old learning to drive a tractor and plow a field. Closely followed by an almost-7-year old brother wanting his lesson, a poddy lamb and an uncle. Curriculum? Umm. Life skills.
11.01.2022 Seeing what our lovely CSA members are doing with their first load of potatoes delivered today! #csaforthewin #Repost @banjocrafts... I got my first potatoes from @colinandsallysorganic this morning. That meant that gnocchi was on the menu for tonight. So good. #banjocrafts #colinandsallysorganic #lockdown #lockdownnumber3 #nomnom #csa #csaforthewin #knowyourfarmer
10.01.2022 Here we go; Dutch Cream potatoes going in. #thiscouldsavethefarm #whoisgoingtosupportafarmingfamily
10.01.2022 No filter on this photo....kind of a metaphor for this year that didn't have a filter eh? Our plans to become more resilient and self-reliant are blooming.
08.01.2022 My morning coffee view. Up early for a walk, gathering good thoughts for the day ahead. Juuuust about to press send on the CSA Share 2021 offering to the current cohort. #notnervous #notnervousatall

06.01.2022 Like many, we will need to pivot, change, adapt. We will have more news soon. This isn't goodbye...oh no. This is going to be good. I promise #hintingthroughthehastags #wouldyoulikefrieswiththat
06.01.2022 This is my Saturday morning view most weeks at the moment. Homemade beef gyozas for the freezer and quick protein grabs for growing boys. The gyoza wrappers were so very kindly sent from Melbourne by a very awesome CSA member. What a community. #csamembersareexcellentpeople
06.01.2022 Ever wanted to be part of our 2021 CSA? A yearly commitment, and you get the very best certified organic lamb, beef, potatoes, delivered to your door (to most areas of Victoria!). This is the most delicious way to support a farming farming. CSA places will be very limited. Shoot me a message and let's get you sorted. #csaforthewin
06.01.2022 Lambing. It goes well.
04.01.2022 Ahhh....memories...of when I thought lambing season could be tamed...
04.01.2022 This is feeling real now...certified organic Dutch Cream potatoes about to go in. And there'll be a few more surprises. This may just save the farm...but we are going to need YOU.
03.01.2022 This is the face of a man who successfully and thrifty refinanced a loan, to buy a new tractor. A tractor to do the new things we need it to as we diversify. This red, shiny tractor arrived today. #2coloursofcapsasfreemerchcanyouguesstheothercolour #realmenarecomfortableinpink
03.01.2022 We call it "butcher-tea". My two sons are quality control on the lamb sausages which are made at the end of each butchering session. I stagger in the door, jump in the shower, put on a load of washing, and within minutes, sausages and salad appear as dinner. Butcher-tea...it is a lovely constant.
03.01.2022 Delighted that a numbers of things dear to my heart are in The Guardian today... Colin and Sally's Organic Lamb and Beef, Prom Coast Food Collective and CSA Network Australia & New Zealand.
