08.01.2022 The ANZACs are all gone. What I contemplate on this ANZAC day are their values and attributes: courage, tenacity, bravery, determination, resilience, willingness to see a job through, initiative, skill, discipline, larikanism, mateship but also the command of General Sir John Monash who so effectively brought engineering, the arts/creativity, military expertise and humanity as well as understanding and a great respect for his troops, the Australian Corp. These volunteers punched so far above their weight but the price was very high. Lest we forget
