24.01.2022 Nice to have some gigs in the pipeline. Having a sing with my CROON buddies over the next few weeks at the Great Lake Hotel, at the Burnie Civic Centre and a new venue in Launceston. Up-dating the gig guide on the CROON website tonight so log on and check it out. www.croon.net.au

24.01.2022 Support Judy's vision...oh and our show. xx

22.01.2022 We'll I finally managed to get on as Bill Heslop. So good. Having covered David James all through Sound of Music as Uncle Max for over 300 shows and not getting a run, it only took 230 to get on in Muriel's Wedding. Lol. Such a rush and also such amazing support from cast and crew. Very blessed to work for this company. Special mention to Ellen (Res Director), Elise (Stage manager ), Denae (hair and makeup), and my side stage dresser Anna. ... A great way to finish the run as I get two more shows tomorrow as Bill, and had two shows last week as Ken, the budgie smuggler wearing swimming coach. Such a ride... and appropiately housed in the disabled persons dressing room. Hahaha.

21.01.2022 Great night last night performing with my CROON buddies at a fundraiser for the friends of the Theatre Royal.

21.01.2022 Some of the many characters portrayed by the talented Karissa Lane-Irons today in the world premiere of Finegan Kruckemeyer's take on our female convict history. Superbly written and performed you are taken on a journey through the personal history of some of the many who lived and worked in Hobart's female factory at Cascades. Not just the convicts but those who worked there ... and felt just as trapped. 2.30pm most days, go and experience this piece. Brilliant.

21.01.2022 Stuck at home so thought I'd clean I out the costume wardrobe. Old and tattered. Too small now or maybe always was. Lol. Gone! Still plenty of fun things to play with in the loft though. Now to sort out the props shelf.

19.01.2022 Happy Purple Day! This year, due to COVID-19, we are celebrating a bit differently by streaming a virtual, socially-distanced event to you LIVE on Facebook. Li...ke many other things happening lately - this is A FIRST FOR EPILEPSY TASMANIA! We know many of you have epilepsy questions and we have some special guests on hand to answer them, including: - Dr Tim Jackson from the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners - Neuro Scientist, Dr Lila Landowski - Epilepsy Tasmania Social Worker, Shirley Poetschka - Epilepsy Tasmania CEO, Wendy Groot We also have a special treat from Tasmanian performer and new Epilepsy Tasmania team member, Colin Dean. You really have to see what he has planned! Today's event is hosted by Sam Ikin (producer of our My Journey podcast series) and we hope to balance facts with fun on this very special day. And a quick Happy Birthday shout-out to Lila in Western Australia, whose grandmother Glenda is part of our podcast series and whose bus company Lees Coaches has been raising awareness of epilepsy all month with their specially named bus Miss Lila. We hope your day is full of purple fun Lila!

07.01.2022 I always say it's a funny old world but the last few days have been a bit of a whirlwind... Saturday knee surgery then put up the Christmas tree with grandkids Will and Zoey, Sunday cooking birthday brunch at home for my grandson Eddie followed by MCing and performing at Newtown Carols, early flight to Melbourne this morning and now I'm learning call back material by talking to the zebras at the Melbourne Zoo. #whereamInow #whoamInow #whathatdoIputonnow
