19.01.2022 Last days to get round 1 of COVID super access scheme - if you are eligible.... If retirement is 15+ years away and you can get $10K now have a good think about it and decide if you will actually have any super to collect in a world smashed from global warming.

15.01.2022 UK Govt advice on kids going back to school released under pressure from teacher unions and local govt. Two points I pulled out. The susceptibility to infection of younger children (up to age 11 to 13) might be lower than for adults, but the degree of confidence in this is low. For older children there is not enough evidence yet to determine whether susceptibility to infection is different to adults. There is no evidence to suggest that children transmit the virus any more than adults. Some studies suggest younger children may transmit less, but this evidence is mixed and provides a low degree of confidence at best. https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk//Overview_of_scie

12.01.2022 Focused on climate change but a whole lot of psycology of how people respond to threats and bias their thinking, showing why people can walk into a disaster, particular slow change. Listening to Hot Mess by Richard Aedy on ABC Radio National --- worth a listen too if your interested in this issue https://www.abc.net.au/radionational/programs/hot-mess/

02.01.2022 Some people describe permaculture as revolution disguised as gardening. ~ David Holmgren This week we have a special treat for gardeners and growers, and all ...thoses interested in nurturing the land that feeds us. My co-host Scotty Foster will be interviewing David Holmgren, Australian environmental designer, ecological educator, activist, author and co-originator of the permaculture concept. Over the last 40 years David’s ideas have grown into a global movement that has touched millions of lives and provided an alternative framework for individuals to interact with each other and the earth. Thousands of projects have been implemented locally and internationally from small city gardens to farms and large communities. Tune in live this Friday, May 8th from 9-10:30am to learn more!
