25.01.2022 Some new cards hitting the stands! I love the bottom right card, and the 4th down in the middle row. The good people at AC tell me that one is for Melbourne's Urban Forest Strategy, and the other is for the Wildlife Photographer of the Year at the Australian Museum in Sydney. I'm not sure I'll see them up here in Brisbane, so if anyone further south finds them, be sure to post on here! (Jemma)

24.01.2022 Australia's geography is just amazing! What do you think of this cool aerial view of the Pilbara in Western Australia? I was very happy to find this card in my local Avant Card stand yesterday! It's publicising the very serious-sounding "Australia State of the Environment 2011" assessment, a report commissioned by the Government here. Some random facts about the Pilbara region itself: it covers 502,000 sqaure km of land, including coastal areas, mountains, gorges and desert. It's home to mineral deposits and some of the oldest rock formations in the world - but only 48,600 people! (posted by Jemma)

20.01.2022 Hello all fellow Avant Card-loving people! Christmas is well and truly on the way, so imagine my glee to finally discover one of the AC Christmas themed cards in my local rack earlier. Yay! Needless to say, I grabbed a couple of spares... so in the spirit of festive goodwill, and that compulsive urge to share the postcard fun, I am offering up one of the aforementioned cards, and throwing in a "Llamas in Pyjamas" one too :D Just comment below by naming the worst Xmas gift you've ever received! I'll use a random number generator to pick a 'winner' - first to reply assumes no.1, and so on. You've got until December 9th to comment - and it's open to all, wherever you are in the world. 20.01.2022 A belated Happy New Year to all Avant Card collectors and out there! We're looking forward to seeing what the AC racks have in store for us in 2012 :) Did anyone find any new cards, or new racks over the holidays? I stumbled across both when I found Eckersley's Art and Crafts store in the shopping centre in Canberra :D (Jemma)

18.01.2022 My latest haul of ACs from one of the stands in Brisbane CBD, the photo also starring another of my platypus friends :P I can't begin to imagine how ecstatic I'd be if I discovered a card featuring a platypus as well haha. 11.01.2022 I just love this card! For our non-Aussie fans, it shows the Australasian Magpie. While the birds themselves are common as anything, I'm not sure there's much chance of me seeing the postcard on the stands up here in Brisbane. Very keen to get my hands on one of these, so keep your eyes peeled Melbourneites! Don't forget, if anyone has Avant Cards they want to swap, or would like to get hold of, post on this group and hopefully people can get matched up and we can all get the cards we'd most love :D (posted by Jemma)

08.01.2022 As many of you would know, the Avant Card distribution varies from state to state (depending on what it is advertising, target demographic, etc.) This fantastic card won the Avant Card Postcard of the Month award in November, because check out what you can do with it! http://clovermooresydney.posterous.com/congrats-city-staff- I'm assuming that it's only being distributed in NSW, so if you're a Sydney-sider and you get your hands on these cards, comment below if you're up for trades! :)
06.01.2022 We're not called "Collecting and SWAPPING Avant Cards" for nothing. I created this page so we didn't spam the official AC page trying to find like-minded collectors to meet and organise swaps with. We already have a number of people offering to swap (and from all over the globe as well!), so if you're wanting to organise some swaps, make sure you have this page's wall post settings on 'Everyone' so you can see all the wall posts. You are ALL more than welcome to post and tell us about yourself, your collection, and what you're interested in swapping. Feel free to post pictures as well. 03.01.2022 Hi guys! How's the Avant Card/postcard collecting going? Avant Card is an Australian company, but we seem to have quite a few international postcard collectors. We have two in particular who are very keen to swap postcards with people - Carlos Niehof from Holland, and Isa Mestre from Portugal. Did you know that each month they pick a selection of the prettiest art cards, and the most interesting promotional cards, and they upload them as e-cards? Check them out at http://www.avantcard.com.au/BrowseCards.php. For the biggest fans, this can act as a "to hunt down" list (not that I'm confessing to be in that category, *cough cough* ;)). 01.01.2022 How amazing are the Avant Card art cards?! It's so fantastic to be able to see how creative and talented our local artists are, and Avant Card both promotes their work AND lets us collect it all for free! Any favourites (either from this album or ones that you've picked up in the past)??
01.01.2022 Not late notice or anything, but is anyone out in the Melbourne CBD today? According to the Avant Card facebook page, they will have a "special set up" from 4pm at LMFF's 'Fashion Full Stop'. Anyone wanna go pick up some cards for the group??
